PERFOMANCES
Peniel: Zubair, I am getting really excited to witness the highlights of the day. Would you mind
to name just a few of them?
Zubair: Of course, Peniel. To just name a few, we have a couple of cultural performances from our
fellow Somalians, Indonesians and Libyan friends!
Peniel: Ok, in that case, without further delay, let’s put our hands together to welcome the first
performance for tonight: The Dhanto Somali Dance!
Zubair: Wow, they really know how to dance! Peniel, you should take a dance class with them.
Peniel: No, I think you should because right now, I am in for some classical song mood. Tonight, we
are going to listen to a classical Sundanese song harmonize with instrumental music known
as Karawitan, perform by three post graduates students; Amilia Hasbullah, Madi and Deni
fromIndonesia. The song illustrates a couple expressing their emotions of love, faith and
affection towards each other. But… before that, we will take a remote tour to Yemen.
(Yemen Presentation)
Zubair: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the Indonesian student’s back-to-
back performances, Bogoh Silung and Juwita Malam!
(2 Indonesian Songs)
Peniel: Hmm…Such soothing and relaxing songs … Suddenly, I feel like I am inBandung!
Zubair: Peniel! Enough of day-dreaming. In a few minutes, we are going to bring you to an
Arabian night’ tale. But… before that, we will take you through a mystical journey of the
country of Pharaohs and great pyramids…
(Egypt video presentation)
Zubair: Let’s enjoy the Libyan performance performed by international students
from Libya and a visit to the Country of the Lion hearted “Omar Mukhtar”.
Peniel: For the last performance, let’s drift in to a traditional Malaysian cultural singing
performed by the professionals from PKSK of UTHM.
Zubair: Thank you again to the UTHM performance who are full of charisma!
AWARD CEREMONY
Peniel: Ladies and gentleman, here is a quote from Vincent Van Gogh which says,
“If you hear a voice within you say you cannot paint, and then by all means, paint and that
voice will be silenced.”
He said this as a motivation for us all to try and achieve something in life even though it
would be seen as impossible. The participants in front of me proved novelties in their
findings. You have become an excellent painter and you surely proved the impossible to be
possible. Please, do give them a huge round of applause!
Zubair:
We come tonight with joy and elation,
To PGS award ceremony appreciation,
An outstanding event, in many ways,
And who, deserve the credit and praise?…
Peniel: And now, is the biggest highlight of the night, the award ceremony session…
Zubair: Now is the highlight of the event; the award giving session. To recipients, please
come forward when your name is called to receive your prizes.

Dr. Mohd. Noh bin Dalimin, accompanied by the Dean of CGS, Prof. Ahmad Shakri bin Mat
Seman, to hand over the awards to the recipients.

distinguished guests for gracing this ceremony. Also, we would like to congratulate all
participants for their success. It has been a great day and a wonderful evening with the
presence of all of you.
Zubair: Remember that you don’t have to be great to start but you have to start to be great.
For those who did not succeed, success is not final, failure is not fatal; BUT, it is the courage
to continue that counts. Again we sincerely thankall of you for being here tonight.
Peniel:
Till next year, zai jian…
Zubair: and shab-bakhair….Good night, selamat malam!
