Normally, we picture
electric devices with wires.
For example, laptop, cell
phone, lamp etc.
Remember every time you
travel or at home, you need
to pack all the adapters
and chargers for your
devices. It’s unpractical,
isn’t it. The solution is near.
What is Wi-Tricity ?
  Transmission of energy through the air.

 Process of transferring electric energy or power over
distance without wires.


  Wi-Tricity, a portmanteau for "wireless electricity", is a trademark
of WiTricity corporation referring to their devices and processes
which use a form of wireless energy transfer including resonant
energy transfer etc., the ability to provide electrical energy to
remote objects without wires using oscillating magnetic fields.

HOW WIRELESS POWER WORKS
 1. Magnetic coil (Antenna A) is housed
  in a box and can be set in wall or
  ceiling.
 2. Antenna A, powered by mains,
  resonates at a specific frequency.
 3. Electromagnetic waves transmitted
  through the air.
 4. Second magnetic coil (Antenna B)
  fitted in laptop/TV etc resonates at
  same frequency as first coil and
  absorbs energy.
 5. Energy charges the device.

              Yes it is secure !
              Principle of witricity is
               based on oscillating
               Magnetic fields.
              We too live in a globe
               that is already
               surrounded by magnetic
               waves.

 very weakly with
 biological organisms.

It uses a "non–
 radioactive mode of
 energy transfer.

SAFETY CONCERNS
In the “far-field”, a transmitter would emit
 mixture of magnetic and potentially
 dangerous electric fields. But, crucially, at a
 distance of less than one wavelength - the
 "near field" - it is almost entirely magnetic.
Hence, Witricity uses low frequency
 electromagnetic waves, whose waves are
 about 30m (100ft) long.

Range Of WiTricity
WiTricity can perform electric transmission 2 cm to
 3-4 meters.
Scientists are working on extending this range
Regarding efficiency –
            With development done by MIT-IBM
            efficiency raised to around %90 - %95

“Ridiculous technology”
Witricity is not the first jump on the concept of
 wireless electricity.
Today, chip-giant Intel has seized on a similar idea
 to Witricity's , whilst other companies work on
 highly directional mechanisms of energy transfer,
 such as lasers.
However, unlike Witricity's work, lasers require an
 uninterrupted line of sight, and are therefore not
 good for powering objects around the home.

       If we apply this idea to the whole city, we might not have to use any
wired cable. Moreover, in the future, it would save the material cost, and
                “WE CAN SAVE THE WORLD, YEAH!!!”
