As Engineer (09-10-2013 to date)
Working as an Engineer in Etisalat Alain P&M FAN2 section through Reach Employment
Services, here I am responsible for verifying and quality assurance both OSP/ISP, Projects
and Maintenance works completed by the Etisalat’s contractors such as:
Presently having the assignment of all of the Inter Emirates Express ULL cable mega
projects belongs to Alain region. Which include execution, commissioning and handing
over to FOJN.
Responsible of all faults related to Optical Junction Links and daily dockets GPON &
Legacy Network.
Responsible of any major or minor damages related to GPON Network as well as Legacy
Network.
Supervise the Major FTTH & Junction Projects.
Assign & Supervise the project to contractors and their field staff.
Responsible to maintain the KPI set by the management.
Verifying the Project site diaries & Invoices and finally submitting to the accounts
department.
Responsible to maintain the logistic supports related to Projects.
Responsible to provide the feedback to the management & co-ordinate with contractors.

Responsible to arrange the network outage and change overs of Optical Link and FTTH

Execution of New Generation Long Haul Transport Network between exchanges with Main
& Diversity route to carry the Core Network Transmission (GPON, OLT’s, IP-NGDLC’s,
UMTS, IP-VPN & GSM requirements).
To conduct site survey with area planners & civil supervisors in order to explore creative
solutions considering the physical condition of the site for the provision of civil works
connectivity, fiber optic route link diversity, redundancy and circuitry of FO Network to
meet quality design, project execution plan and effective cost estimate.
Coordinate with other section including Planning, Routing and records, Data section, TMC,
OMC, Mechanical Aid, Network Maintenance etc for the work progress and project status
to ensure that service can be provided without delay and taking appropriate corrective
actions within target time.
Process contractor’s diary sheets/invoices for payment and arrange cost overrun approvals.
Meetings with superiors to discuss the progress of the execution of projects, development in
the new areas, reducing waiters.
Supports regular interface and follows up on a day-to-day basis with the civil and cable
works. Assists in revising the schedules and priorities in coordination with civil, cable and
planning.
Provide an efficient level of correspondence on all matters related to contractual activities of
the section and maintain up-to-date records.
Consolidate, review and forecast with superiors the list of stores required/ordered on yearly,
quarterly and daily basis for line projects and maintenance purpose.
Prepare statistical reports to the management regarding the performance and productivity of
the section.
Keeps abreast of new technologies, systems and developments in the functional area of
Specialization i.e. planning and implementation of GPON projects.
2. Netsat Technologies Pvt. Ltd.
As Telecom Enginner (05-11-2011 to 15-02-2013)
This company provides not only the services for network development solutions but also
perform the preventing maintenance work of existing network for the client like PTCL. Here
I manage preventing maintenance and development work of both Copper and F/O cable
network by leading the cable laying, maintenance and new installation sections at a time.

3. Emirates Telecommunication Corporation (Etisalat) Sharjah, U.A.E.
As Sr. Technician (01-06-2008 to 31-09-2011)
Selected for work with Etislalat on secondment as Sr. Technician and after 6 months
excellent performance got offer to work on permanent bases. Here I worked as Sr.
Technician and responsible for the supervision of both development and maintenance of all
types of F/O cables OSP network (i.e. single or ribbon type from 4F to 1000F) consist of
local, junction and international network. This work includes:
Assigning w/o and deployment of field staff, compliance to the concern department after
completion.
Coordinate with other section including Planning, Routing and records, Data section.
Supervision of OSP/ISP engineering installations.
In this episode of my career my main achievement to work for GPON system which
provides through FTTH network to the subscribers.
Have the ability to work with OSP related accessories and equipment of almost all famous
telecom brands such as Huawei, Alcatel Lucent, Ericson, R&M, Marconi, Fujikura, Fujitsu,
Anritsu, Sumitomo, Corning, Exfo etc.
4. Pakistan Telecommunication Company Ltd. (PTCL)
As an E.S.P. (Aug.2005 to May2008)
Rejoined PTCL after the completion of deputation period with Etisalat. Worked as an
Engineering Supervisor Phones (Operation) PECHS Division Karachi with following
responsibilities:
Rectification of daily faults by maintaining OSP cable network which includes both
E-side & D-side and subscriber loop from DP to subs. premises as well. Opening NTC.
Installation of DSL, BRI & PRI circuits and their fault rectification.
5. Emirates Telecommunication Corporation (Etisalat) U.A.E.
As Sr. Cable Jointer (Dec.1998 to Aug2005)
Initially I was deputed for maintenance and development works of copper cable network.
After few months Fiber Optics cable works assigned to me and till the end of my services I
worked in the same field and responsible for both development and maintenance of all types
of F/O cables consist of local, junction and international network. This work includes:
Fiber splicing single-single, ribbon-ribbon and single-ribbon
Fiber termination in different types of ODF and cabinets
Testing of fibers with the help of several types of OTDR and Power Meter & Light Source
and fault rectification
6 .Pakistan Telecommunication Company Ltd. (PTCL)
As an E.S.P. (Feb.1995 to Dec.1998)
Cable Division P.E.A.C.H.S. Exchange Karachi.
Supervise all of the work related to this Sub Division in both technical and managerial
respect such as;
Maintaining the record of 30,000-telephone network in all respects.
Verification of possibility reports of NTC/shifting/restoration both by the help of
diagrams/maps or physical surveys.

In case of expansion of network by the development division, make the demand report both
on actual and forecast basis with the help of physical reports and map making.
Keep watch on site and assist the cable jointers/ technicians in fault localizing and
rectification with the help of fault localizer and other equipment.
7. Telecom Foundation
As a Supervisor/Assistant Manager (Jan.1993 to Jan.1995)
Supervised independently the whole process of NTC related to the OSP work from MDF to
subs. Office. During this job I also worked as an Assistant Manager on look after bases and
opened more than 25,000 NTCs in different telephone exchanges, made planes about
erection of posts to maintain the required standard of O/H lines. Except these I also
managed both office and SITE works of the whole exchange area independently and led the
team of more than forty workers at a time.
