Minor Museums or Archeological sites outside of the most important cultural attractors often rely on small budgets, are operated by volunteers and have no communication or techical infrastructure. Thanks to emerging technologies, like Augmented and Virtual Reality, even the smallest Museum can find a low cost way to deliver its value. The project describes a solution developed by Inglobe Technologies for the Museum of Fregellae in central Italy that precisely addresses the issue of delivering the value of minor Cultural Heritage sites using the latest technologies. The project has been funded by the government of the Lazio Region in the context of the restructuring of the Museum. It provided two interactive exhbits with gestural interfaces, an iPad App to support the visiting experience in the Museum and an interactive website.
