Specification report to accompany the estimate for the work of
‘Establishment of Information Counter at Railway station at Tirupati in Chittoor
District‘.’
Estimate amount Rs: 5.60 Lakhs
Authority:-
The Superintending Engineer, APTDC, Hyderabad has instructed to prepare
the Estimate for ‘Establishment of Information Counter at Railway station at
Tirupati in Chittoor District’ which was given space by Tirupati Municipal
Corporation on lease basis. Accordingly that the following works are proposed in the
estimate.
Necessity:-
APTDC has one Information Counter inside of the Railway Station, which is
located in non public moment area. The Tirupati Municipal Corporation had allotted
12’ x 10’ vacant site in T.S.No.4489 adjacent in Traffic control point Opp.Railway
Reservation Office for IRO.. In this connection, to maintain the better relation with
pilligrims, and given the better information of our corporation tours packages,
Accommodation, Restaurants to the public.
Hence, the estimate is found necessary and prepared with the following
provisions.
Following provisions are made in the estimate:-
 Framing work with M.S.Pipes.
 Alround the M.S.Pipes frame to close with shera sheets.
 16 to 18mm Black Granite for counters.
 Painting two coats with synthetic enamel paint to M.S. frame, putty with
luxury plastic emulsion paint to ceilings, Plastic emulsion paint to internal
shera sheets, and acrylic exterior emulsion paint to outside if shera
sheets.

 Flooring with Vitrified tiles
 Roofing with shera sheet and G.I.Sheet on it and Tar felt applying for to
avoid the leakages.
 To provide the Alco paneling for better look.
 To provide the Glow sign boards and stickering etc.,
Along with the above works the following provisions are made as lump
sum as the items are petty in nature.
Lump sum Provision:
1. Provision for VAT @ 5% and Price escalation.
2. Provision for T.P @ 5%.
3. Provision for Labour cess @ 1%.
4. Provision for unforeseen and miscellaneous item if any.
5. Provision for Transportation and overheads @ 5%.
Rates:-
The estimate is prepared with current SSR i.e. 2013 -2014 of AP and
the work will be carried out as per APSS and other relevant specifications
issued from time to time.
