Fanciful Dream
I left my love in the Fairy Glen
Home of the little fairy men
I met her there on a July night
When a Summer moon was beaming
bright.

"Will you walk a little faster?" said a whiting to a snail,

See how eagerly the lobsters and the turtles all advance!
They are waiting on the shingle--will you come and join the

Sincerely Insincere
People today...
Are so sincerely insincere.
Full with trite expressions
Delivered from a smile,
Slowly lifting from a sneer...
Seconds before an encounter appeared.
People today...
Are quick to say
What they don't mean,
To make it seem
As if what is felt can not be seen...
Or show!
But it does.
And they don't know.

How I wonder what you are !

Twinkle, twinkle, all the night.

Sonnet 8: Music to hear, why hear'st thou
music sadly? by William Shakespeare
Music to hear, why hear'st thou music sadly?
Sweets with sweets war not, joy delights in joy.
Why lov'st thou that which thou receiv'st not gladly,
Or else receiv'st with pleasure thine annoy?
If the true concord of well-tunèd sounds,
By unions married, do offend thine ear,
They do but sweetly chide thee, who confounds
In singleness the parts that thou shouldst bear.
Mark how one string, sweet husband to another,
Strikes each in each by mutual ordering,
Resembling sire and child and happy mother,
Who, all in one, one pleasing note do sing;
Whose speechless song being many, seeming one,
S
Sings this to thee: "Thou single wilt prove none."

The Baby’s Dance
By: Ann Taylor
Dance little baby, dance up high,
Never mind baby, mother is by;
Crow and caper, caper and crow,
There little baby, there you go;
Up to the ceiling, down to the ground,
Backwards and forwards, round and round;
Dance little baby, and mother shall sing,
With the merry coral, ding, ding, ding.

14. Offensive Definition: Causing displeasure or resentment
Let me tell you something about Janis Ian. We were best
friends in middle school. (makes a face) I know right, it's
soooo embarrassing. I don’t even…whatever. So then in
eighth grade I started going out with my first boyfriend Kyle,
who was totally gorgeous but then he moved to Indiana--and
Janis was like, weirdly jealous of him. Like if I would blow
her off to hang out with Kyle, she'd be like "Why didn't you
call me back?!" and I'd be like, "Uh, why are you so obsessed
with me?" So then for my birthday party, which was an all
girls pool party, I was like, "Janyce, I can't invite you
because I think you're a lesbian" I mean, I couldn't have a
lesbian at my party! There were going to be girls there in
their bathing suits! I mean right, she was a lesbian! So then
her mom called my mom and started yelling at her and it was
so retarded and then she dropped out of school 'cause no one
would talk to her and she came back in the fall for high
school and her hair was all cut off and she was totally weird
and now I guess she's on crack.
15. Ornate
Definition: Using unusual words and complex constructions
Over hill, over dale,
Thorough bush, thorough brier,
Over park, over pale,
Thorough flood, thorough fire!
I do wander everywhere,
Swifter than the moon's sphere;
And I serve the Fairy Queen,
To dew her orbs upon the green;
The cowslips tall her pensioners
be;
In their gold coats spots you see;
Those be rubies, fairy favours;
In those freckles live their savours;
I must go seek some dewdrops
here,
And hang a pearl in every cowslip's
ear.
16. Football has been part of my life since I was the age of five. It has

prided myself in. I played on every level; the inception being the
flag level, followed by ponies, super pee-wees, pee-wees, midgets, Definition: Having, compelled by, or ruled by
and finally high school level football. The former eight years of my intense emotion or strong feeling; fervid:
football career were undoubtedly the best in no small part to the
great coaches and teammates I had. I would just like to mention a
few of those coaches that have helped me become who I am today.
Mr. Gus VanDenBerg; a wonderful coach and it’s a shame his son
Clay, a good friend of mine, didn’t continue to play as a senior. Mr.
Lehman Mann; he has always been a great mentor and was a
fantastic coach. Through all the tough times, he told me to tough it
out and stick with it and good things will happen, for that I thank
him because his inspiring words and caring thoughts helped me
make better decisions than I would have without them. And finally,
Mr. William Conlin; the best coach I have ever had the pleasure to
play for, even if it was only for one season. His coaching taught me
many things about football but even more about myself. There
really is too much I could say about such a great person. But if I
were to sum it up… Whenever I think of that season, all that comes
to mind is pure happiness; the practices, the games, anything and
everything about that one year of football will always be the fondest
memories of football in my life.

18. Political
Why else would he define middle-class as someone making under $5 million a
year? How else could he propose hundreds of billions in tax breaks for big
corporations and oil companies, but not one penny of tax relief to more than 100
million Americans?
OBAMA: How else could he offer a health care plan that would actually tax people's
benefits, or an education plan that would do nothing to help families pay for
college, or a plan that would privatize Social Security and gamble your retirement?
(AUDIENCE BOOS) Definition: Of or relating to government, a
government, or the conduct of government
It's not because John McCain doesn't care; it's because John McCain doesn't get it.
(APPLAUSE)
For over two decades -- for over two decades, he's subscribed to that old,
discredited Republican philosophy: Give more and more to those with the most and
hope that prosperity trickles down to everyone else.
In Washington, they call this the "Ownership Society," but what it really means is
that you're on your own. Out of work? Tough luck, you're on your own. No health
care? The market will fix it. You're on your own. Born into poverty? Pull yourself up
by your own bootstraps, even if you don't have boots. You are on your own.
(APPLAUSE)
Well, it's time for them to own their failure. It's time for us to change America. And
that's why I'm running for president of the United States.
- President Barack Obama
19. Romantic ROMEO: But soft! What light through yonder window breaks?
It is the East, and Juliet is the sun!
Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon,
Who is already sick and pale with grief
That thou a maid art far more fair than she.
Be not her maid, since she is envious.
Definition: characteristic or suggestive of
Her vestal livery is but sick and green,
the world of romance
And none but fools do wear it. Cast it off.
It is my lady; O, it is my love!
O that she knew she were!
She speaks, yet she says nothing. What of that?
Her eye discourses; I will answer it.
I am too bold; 'tis not to me she speaks.
Two of the fairest stars in all the heaven,
Having some business, do entreat her eyes
To twinkle in their spheres till they return.
What if her eyes were there, they in her head?
The brightness of her cheek would shame those stars
As daylight doth a lamp; her eyes in heaven
Would through the airy region stream so bright
That birds would sing and think it were not night.
See how she leans her cheek upon her hand!
O that I were a glove upon that hand,
That I might touch that cheek!
20. Sentimental
Definition: Of or prompted by feelings
of tenderness, sadness, or nostalgia
Lingeringly Biff turned the ring [his mother's wedding
ring] on his little finger. Anyway he knew what it was
not. Not. Any more. A sharp line cut into his forehead.
His hand in his pocket moved nervously toward his
genitals. He began whistling a song and got up from
the table.
21. Sok g
hcin

The American singer Michael Jackson died on
June 25, 2009, at age 50, of propofol intoxi
cation after suffering a respiratory arrest at his

Hills neighborhood in Los Angeles. His personal
physician, Conrad Murray, said he had found Ja
ckson in his room, not breathing, but with a
faint pulse, and that he administered CPR on his
bed to no avail. After a call was placed to 9-1-1
at 12:20 pm, Jackson was treated by paramedic
s at the scene, and was later pronounced dead
at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.
On August 28, 2009, t
he Los Angeles County Coroner ruled the death

22. Sincere
Definition: Saying what they genuinely feel or believe; not dishonest
or hypocritical.
It is important to me that everybody who has been hurt know that the sorrow I
feel is genuine: first and most important, my family; also my friends, my staff,
my Cabinet, Monica Lewinsky and her family, and the American people. I have
asked all for their forgiveness.
But I believe that to be forgiven, more than sorrow is required - at least two more
things. First, genuine repentance - a determination to change and to repair
breaches of my own making. I have repented. Second, what my bible calls a
''broken spirit''; an understanding that I must have God's help to be the person
that I want to be; a willingness to give the very forgiveness I seek; a renunciation
of the pride and the anger which cloud judgment, lead people to excuse and
compare and to blame and complain.
23. Subdued
Definition: Quiet and rather To be alive in an constant of desperation.
reflective or depressed To say only the things that you need to
say. To keep every old consciousness and
lust close to your embrace in my resignation
to be accepting of concession that the
used beings are being put into a misunderstood
sun set somewhere in the middle of an old
solar system. Leaking imposed angry hopes
dying faster. Hope has always been
the strongest allusion. The purest cancer
i do not allow room for hope.
24. Tame
Definitions:
1. Reduced from a state of native
wildness especially so as to be
tractable and useful to humans
2. Made docile and submissive
Yes sir. I will not act out again. My deepest and
most sincere apologies. One was convinced
that acting out would guarantee freedom.
However, that was most certainly not the case
at all. I will do as you wish, Master.
25. Technical
Definition: Having special knowledge.
The key to successful communicating is realizing that all
communication is an opportunity to motivate and inspire, and all
communication requires emotional connection to make an impact. You
must not step over the limit. You must play on the line of zealousness
and passion. Do not take a step over. Follow in my footsteps, I’m a pro.
26. Unifying
Definition: to make or become a single unit; unite:
A great people has been moved to defend a great nation. Terrorist attacks can
shake the foundations of our biggest buildings, but they cannot touch the
foundation of America. These acts shatter steel, but they cannot dent the steel
of American resolve. America was targeted for attack because we're the
brightest beacon for freedom and opportunity in the world. And no one will
keep that light from shining. Today, our nation saw evil -- the very worst of
human nature -- and we responded with the best of America. With the daring
of our rescue workers, with the caring for strangers and neighbors who came
to give blood and help in any way they could.
-George W. Bush 9/11 Address to the Nation
27. U py
pit

does she think she is?
Shane Oman: You're right, hon.
Regina George: I like *invented* her, you know what I mean?
