It’s my privilege to propose a special speech
and acknowledge the contribution of those
who worked really hard to make this
international and national nurses week
celebration happen successful from 6-12 of
may 2023 as nurse .
3. INTERNATIONAL NURSES WEEK THEME 2023
ICN President, Dr Pamela Cipriano explained the theme:
Our Nurses. Our Future. sets out what ICN wants for nursing in
the future in order to address the global health challenges and
improve global health for all.
We need to learn from the lessons of the covid- 19 pandemic and
translate these into actions for the future that ensure nurses are
protected, respected and valued.
Together our future depends on every nurse, every voice, to
not only be on the front lines of care, but also be on the
front lines of change.”
4. REMEMBRANCE OF MS. FLORENCE NIGHTINGALE PIONEER OF
NURSING
International Nurses Day, annual
observance held on May 12
that commemorates the birth in 1820 of
Florence Nightingale, the foundational
philosopher of modern nursing.
The event, established in 1974 by the
International Council of Nurses (ICN),
also serves to highlight the important
role nurses fulfill in health care system
by every nursing officer contribution sin
the society .
International and National Nurses
Week begins each year on May 6th and
ends on May 12th, Florence
Nightingale's birthday.

Credentialing refers to the process
of collection and verification of the
evidences of credentials of a
nursing officer who is to be given
the responsibility of treating patients
in the hospital. The process
ensures the authenticity of the
details provided by the nursing
officer .
Collection of evidences of
credentials: Documentary
evidences of following credentials
should be collected for a nursing
officer .

11. PRIVILEGING
Privileging refers to determining the scope
of clinical practice that a nursing officer
can be permitted for undertaking
independently in the hospital.
The scope of nursing officer ’s permitted
clinical practice is also called as ‘clinical
privileges’ of the nursing and the process
of granting the clinical privileges is called
as ‘privileging’.
Like nursing procedure are vital signs,
physical examination, blood sample
collection procedure, IM , IV, ID, SC,
medication, ryles tubes, catheter
insertion etc.
12. AS A NURSING PROFESSIONAL HAS TO REMEMBER THREE
SELF CARE ASPECT LIKE
Care of physical health like
Keep your body Clean, maintain personal hygiene,
dental hygiene, clean cloth wash and dry ,use it .
Take at least twice a week head bath followed by oil
bath at least one time weekly
Take daily good walk to be brisk in job
Take meditation /exercises at lease 10-15 mts per
day
Take plenty of water every day at least 4-5 litre
Take good balance diet like protein, fat, CHO,
vitamin, minerals etc. more add at least two days for
green leafy vegetables
Try to eat seasonal food , at season time very
important
Go for early bed sleep and wake up early
Avoid spicy , fast food , junk food, ventors food etc.
Avoid alcohol, smoking, betal leaves , any other bad
habbits etc.
13. CARE OF MENTAL HEALTH
Feel free to speak every one
Have respect with parents and other family
members
At least daily once sit together have food /eat
with family members .
Have worship with spiritual practices at once per
day
Have good friends , neighbor and working area
environment .
Listen good music, feel pleasant , try to visit
more nature scenario , avoid negative thougtht
Stay with pet animals and others to have habit
grow them
Have dance, craft, mind art, small industrial
work etc

Keep emotional under your control. Connect with
people ,Good relationships are important for your
mental wellbeing. ...

every day can help boost your mood and
