1. The Telephone Call
Script
(Alex is sitting in the living room with Hayley. He
takes out his mobile phone and dials a number.
Felicity enters the room and takes a seat.)
Alex Hey Rose. Good morning this is Alex.
(Jon enters the room and walks towards the guitar at
the end of the room.)
Alex Apparently this morning while I was eating breakfast my
… um … temporary cap … I swallowed it.
(Everyone in the room roars with laughter.)
Alex And apparently it’s no longer there. However I’m not
experiencing any discomfort.
(Sid enters the room. Realising what happened he
starts laughing too.)
Alex So I’m thinking that … if it’s ok to operate with the
temporary cap until my appointment at 9 am on the 19th.
I don’t have a problem doing that.
(Jon makes his way to a chair and sits down still
laughing.)
Alex However, if … if it’s going to compromise the integrity
of the natural fit of the new crown that is being
manufactured …
(The laughter continues.)
Alex … sometime in the next few days. I think … obviously
we’re gonna have to get another one on there … but I
don’t have a problem with like I said operating without
the other … it feels better without it actually. But
I suppose it was on there for a reason. So if I need
to get another one … um … give me a call.
(Laughter dies down.)
