How to choose the right false eyelashes for your style
1. How to Choose the Right False Eyelashes for Your Style
Fake eyelashes are becoming more and more popular as women want to look more like their
favorite celebs with gorgeous fluffy eyelashes.
False eyelashes tend to add drama and glamour in an instant. But despite the fact they are so
widely used nowadays not all women know how to apply them and even how to choose fake
lashes. However, it is not really difficult.
All you need is patience and a little practice to ensure you can create a fantastic look with the
help of false lashes.
The use of false eyelashes is no longer restricted to stage shows and evening events. In fact many
people I know wear false lashes daily – even to work. In the past, false lashes were considered
acceptable only for glamorous evening events, photography and stage performances by most
people. However, with more and more ‘natural-looking’ options available, I find that people are
more open to experimenting with them.
How should you choose your false lashes? Bear in mind the following:
Your personal style
The occasion and / or the look you wish to achieve
Your eye features
Your own lashes
Start by choosing the color of the fake eyelashes you plan to wear because this is one of the most
important factors in determining the overall appearance of your eyes. To create a natural look,
opt for lashes that match your actual lash shade. For example, light-haired women should stick to
a light brown fake lash, while those with darker locks should pick dark brown or black. For a more
2. dramatic nighttime look, black lashes work well on just about everyone.
Check the length and width of false eyelashes before selecting a set. Most fake lashes come
either in full strips or individual lashes. Full lash strips tend to be longer and thicker, which should
create a dramatic effect that's ideal for nighttime, while individual lashes can be applied at the
outer lash corners for a more natural look. Outside of Halloween or similar events that call for
costumes, avoid fake lashes that are extra long because this can make for an over-the-top, even
absurd, look.
Select fake eyelashes based on the amount of skill used to apply them. Individual lashes, while
the best option for a natural effect, are also more difficult to apply, especially if your lashes are
on the shorter side. Choose a full lash strip if you're not accustomed to applying fake lashes or if
you have difficulty keeping a steady hand.
