Mention GS and cookies Last one is the one that people miss- and selling chocolate may be easier but it measn you aren’t doing your part to help council. I have heard people say council will take a piece of $ from other fundraisers – NO.
Drum roll please!!!
It’s back and better than ever!!!!!
Make specific for council

Highlighted in red are all the new products or products with significant improvements vs. 2011
This is important…not to say you can’t DO other sales, Xmas trees, chocolate, garage sales- you can. BUT fill out a fundraising form with council. WHY?? Not because they want a slice (they don’t) they want to be able to steer business your way and as you represent them keep an eye on it.
Where does a large chunk of that 1.5 million operating budget come from? We want to go beyond maintain- we want to do upgrades- more money Last years theme- do you part.
Say it can’t be done? Look at these 4 packs who are not making excuses- they are making it happen and doing their part for scouting. What did pack 9 di with all that money? Pay for camping trips, summer events, derby cars and New race track.
Every year I hear, it’s the price, no one buys. These units don’t prejudge the consumer- if you don’t ask the answer is always a NO. If you ASK it’s a 50% chance it’s a yes and a $10 sale.
Nearly double last years’ sales of 265,000. 297,000 Interesting- our sales totals were up- number of selling scouts down. Want to increase both- units selling, scouts selling and of course, $$ sales total.
Refer to colored pages in your packet
What we are goingto talk about now. Aweosme info for first time kernels- and even if you’ve done before, you may find some new ideas. Details are in your packet on colored paper.
Be sure you got our emails, you are on our facbook page- you need to get the info so you can pass it on to your parents!
Scouts who set goals sell more, units that set goals sell more Make the task seem less daunting want to sell 10000 divide that by the number of scouts, make THAT the lowest expectation. This is important- how much does it cost a scout to be in a pack- $100?? Offer parents the option to pay $100 or to sell $300 in popcorn tpo meet their scout financial obligation. Can hold a second fundraiser in spring money goes to each scout.
Don’t just pass the forms out at a meeting and expect results
Refer to the sheet in packet
Both for ind scouts and for unit For popcorn – stay in constant front of their minds- ever meeting, emails every few days- reminders etc. New function on TE.com boys will be able to see charts towards their goal.
Get donations
And we have lots of stuff to give away at council- Trails end has stuff and you can add your own
Recognize your top sellers, have a $300 club, honor those who did their part, participated, worked extra hard make them feel special!
These come from different places- there are different ways to get these. Refer to your prize paper in the packet.
The original slide had a spelling error FUCTION

We will have a form and a procedure for this in place this year
