- You have to designate one person from the research team to be the contact person; the application goes to that person’s respective, local R&PD committee Grantee needs to address in the application how it will be made available to others; if it is not clear what will be done with items after the completion of the project, it may prove problematic it is our responsibility to help strengthen your application and make you as competitive as possible the outcomes should correspond with the stated need for research grantee should take care to include everything that is needed
- This informational session, which is part 1 of a three-part series, was to get us ready... for the next session we are planning a research speed-dating event; this event will take place in June and will provide attendees multiple opportunities to discuss their research ideas with their colleagues and hear from others about their research ideas. Our goal for this second event is to match possible research collaborators together. For July or August, we are planning an event where people who are interested in undertaking a research project talk about it and get tips from the committee, Library Organization Research Administration (LORA) representatives, and the LAUC-LA Representative to the LAUC Research and Professional Development Committee. We also plan to discuss funding opportunities at this third event.
- What ideas do you have for how we should approach future events? Future efforts to promote LAUC funding opportunities? Efforts to assist librarians turn their research interest into a plan? Change of method? Via Elluminate? We currently push information out on LAUC-Talk. What about adding deadlines to Outlook?
