Reduced foot print (ST 7 and beyond) – no more ‘ST walls’, rack space can cost Combination Models: SG 220T1 (ST7) 220E1 (2H 07) – Hi IP density with digital trunks – other switches required at site for analog requirements 220T1A – All in one for site of about 50 users - equivalent of a SGT1, SG40 & SG60 in one box Higher IP Phone Density (ST 7.5 and beyond) Up to 220 IP phones on all 220 models Voice mail in the switch: SG 50V, SG 90V, SG 90BRIV (1H 08) Provides survivable VM to small standalone sites with local auto attendant functionality Linux OS, Flash memory for VM & message storage Same number of mailboxes as maximum number of IP phones Micro site switch: SG 30, SG 30BRI (1H 08) Provide small site survivable switch – VM, trunks provided at central site Part of the ShoreTel single system image High density analog extension support: SG24A (1H 08) High density FXS support at a lower cost than current models FXS support for 24 devices and make me conference facility
ShoreTel demonstrated MTBFs are excellent, and we believe ShoreTel is the most reliable PBX product. We challenge anyone to produce better MTBFs for PBXes. Reliability numbers for competitors’ products are difficult to obtain. A Cisco white paper, “IP Telephony: The Five Nines Story”, published in 2002, listed gateway MTBF at 36,000 hours and call manager server MTBF at 40,000 hours. This paper is no longer available on Cisco’s web site Any PBX MTBF numbers from competitors are kindly accepted and will be highly appreciated. Email them to ebasart@shoretel.com. Take away: 17-36 years MTBF is fantastic. When you show to a customer, they may be incredulous. There is a hitch to this, and that’s on the next slide: The Bathtub Curve

The ShoreTel distirbuted architecture is inherently fault tolerant without need for complex add-ons . . . In the LIKELY case of a WAN failure . . . Internal calls within site fully operational Internal calls between sites get PSTN fail-over External calls fully operational
In the case of ShoreGear voice switch failure, IP phones register with available ShoreGear voice switches at the site And this is delivered with N+1 sparing vs. Nx2 sparing
In the case of a gateway failure, Outbound calls route around failed gateway Inbound calls re-routed by service provider (PRI)
In the case of a LAN failure, Redundant uplinks on the ShoreGear voice switch protect the system
