1. Psalm 24
Next, with the capacity to divaricate into three distinct thought components, Psalm 24 actually has
congruence, as it covers a sequential range of actions which include declaration, preparation and
finally praise. It is also considered to be a liturgical psalm due to the manner of wording and
conveyance of access requirements with regard to being fit to enter the temple for worship unto God
(Varughese, n.d., p. 7). One course of thought among scholars and commentators for this psalm, is
that it likely embodies the time when the David "brought up the ark of God from the house of
Obed–edom into the city of David with gladness" (2 Samuel 6:12, New American Standard Bible;
Kidner, 2014, p. 130). This occurred during the time when the Lord had given...show more content...
As mentioned previously, within this psalm, there are three distinct strophes, or stanzas, in view.
Bullock (2005) noted that, "at the heart of Hebrew poetry is a device called parallelism" (p. 36).
Several instances of parallelism are found in Psalm 24, and especially in the first two strophes.
For example, in the first distich, we see David proclaiming that "The earth is the Lord's, and all it
contains, the world, and those who dwell in it" (Psalm 24:1, King James Version). These two
units are an example of synonymous parallelism, which Bullock (2005) noted as meaning that
"the thought pattern in one line conforms to the pattern in the successive line" (p. 36,
BULLOCK, PARAPHRASE THIS). Next, in verses three and four, we find the psalmist using a
form of synthetic parallelism, which involves the second line solving or completing the thought of
the first line (Owensboro Community and Technical College, n.d., para. 7). This can be seen in
verse three when David asks the questions "Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? And who
may stand in His holy place" and then answers in the next verse with "He who has clean hands and
a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood and has not sworn deceitfully" (Psalm
24:3–4, King James

2. Analysis of Exodus 21-24 Essay
Exodus 21–24 was definitely quite an instructive piece of literature. It was almost raw in its nature
as a text or "book" but more of reading an excerpt from a piece of non–fiction most similar to an
instruction manual of some sort that you get when you buy a dissembled bike or desk. Something
like being enrolled in a police academy there was definite sense of a master–slave relationship in the
air. It is like something never before seen in the Torah, these chapters showed a whole new
YHWH. The YHWH who is feared like the school principal in an elementary school, not even mom
and dad has come on so strong as to the dos and donts of living life. It seems as if YHWH was
pushed to such a point where YHWH has no choice but intervene into the...show more content...
This is a special moment between YHWH and Moses where they agree with each other that this is
what is going to be done. YHWH's trust in his Children seems to have been implicitly betrayed as
YHWH imposes these rules.
Another important aspect in these chapters is the strong emphasis placed on worshipping only one
God. YHWH repeatedly tells Moshe in different ways that all other gods shall be abandoned
whatever the situation may be. There are no excuses for worshipping other gods and that doing so
will result with the most severe punishments. If you combine this with all of the other "instructions"
that YHWH has mentioned, you have a situation where you will be automatically put to death if
you do a vast amount of crimes and you can combine that with the crime of worshipping any other
god. So you not only express your consent to obeying these instructions by worshipping YHWH,
but by doing so you also accept to live an infallible lifestyle by doing so. This is quite limiting I
can imagine for a people who have had no sense of YHWH's governmental prowess and all of a
sudden doing what is expected to be done by this complex agreement. It now seems that though the
Children are free from Egypt, "Egypt" has taken another form, in the form of YHWH.
I am not sure how YHWH feels about his chosen people if he has come to do so much for them
only to place on them rules and

3. 24 Hour Diet
Based on my 24 hour recall, I feel like I didn't consume enough food that I need daily. I started
working out more, and work long hours, but my food consumption stay the same. I snacks on
unhealthy foods a lot ( chocolates, cookies) and I didn't even realized that. I only drink water when I
workout, instead of throughout the day or when I feel thirsty. When I compared my 24 hour food
intake to MyPlate Guidelines, I can see that I need to eat more proteins, more dairy, more
vegetables, and more fruits. I also need to cut down on sweets for snacks. Instead I can snack on
nuts for my grains requirement. After looking back at what I eaten in a day, it make me pay

My short term goal will help me remember what I want to accomplish in a long term, but it will
keep me motivated because I'm breaking it into small steps. I know I can't cut out all the sugar
and sweets at once, so decreasing the amount is a good start for me. I love chocolates and
Starbuck, I know for a fact that I can't stop putting it in my body, but I can still be healthy by
decreasing the amount. This short term goal will lead me to accomplishing my long term health
goal. If I can do this goal for 2 month, I'm sure I will make it into a lifestyle. As for my long term
goal, it will help me with my whole life, I will live happy and a healthy lifestyle that I long for. In
order for me to consume chocolates or Starbuck, I am increasing my time of exercise and physical
activities to balance that out. With my long term goal of increasing my exercise time, not only
will I feel happier with my life, I will be healthy when I grow old, too. But to accomplish my goals
and to stay motivated, I have to reward myself. To reward myself, instead of eating a piece of cakes

The 24/7 news cycle, continuous bombardment of news and politicians, and also emphasizing on
matters of lesser relevance which do not impact the public's immediate lives which are debated upon
continuously, desensitize the citizens towards matters of higher importance. The constant bickering
and mudslinging between politicians on the media compels many people to pay very little attention
to politics while many chose to ignore it altogether.

6. Teaching Is A Difficult Job
Teaching is a difficult job because there are multiple demands that must be met. The government
demands you teach the curriculum, society demands you prepare them for the future, and students
demand to be taught something worth learning. These demands are easily obtained by incorporating
technology into the education system. Incorporating technology into classrooms provides an
alternative learning experience, 21st century skills, and reduces costs.
Not every child is capable of learning and comprehending material the same way. Different learning
styles require information delivered in alternative ways for it to have the greatest effect. Technology
provides different learning opportunities for students who need an alternate method. Most schools
educate in a uniform format while technology responds to particular needs and interests (Collins and
Halverson 2). Online teaching is a different form of learning taken on the internet during or out of
school. For students taking online classes during the school year, courses last from August 24th to
January 8th. Courses are also available during the summer from June 15th – August 7th for those
trying to catch up on graduation requirements (North Carolina Virtual Public School). Taking
courses online allows students to work on the information independently. Even though they are
working independently, there is still an administrator in the room because nothing can replace
physical human interaction. When a person has a problem with

7. The Giver Chapter 24 Summary

Jonas was suddenly filled with a new strength as he picked up Gabriel and trudged through the
deep snow. He walked on towards the music that seemed to him to be the most beautiful thing in
the world. "We're almost there, Gabe," Jonas whispered to the shivering child. "Listen to the music.
Isn't it beautiful?" The two walked on for what seemed to be hours, when, finally, they came to a
towering iron gate. Jonas pushed the bars with all his strength. Locked. "Please," He called into the
darkness. "Is anyone there? Please, I need help!" Past the gate there lay a community that, at first
glance, seemed not unlike Jonas' old home. Except, it wasn't very much like Jonas' community at all.
The houses weren't all the same, and the colors– he had never seen so many house colors! The
streets twisted and turned, and all the bumps and hills made them seem as if they went on forever.
Jonas now saw the snow differently. Now it wasn't just a burden that slowed him down; it was
beautiful! A thin, shimmery white sheet covered everything, and– "Can I help you, son?" The voice
abruptly cut through Jonas' thoughts. He looked up to see an old woman standing on the other side
of the gate. "Wh–wha–what?" Jonas stammered. "Are you lost? Do you need help?" The woman

9. Dante's Inferno, Cantos 24 Essay
Dante's Inferno is a classic text that has survived the centuries that have worn it down. It tells the
journey through the nine circles of Hell for Dante the pilgrim. One of the famous passages given
within the tale is Virgil's motivational speech to Dante in Cantos 24. It goes as thus;
"Up on your feet! This is no time to tire!" my Master cried. "The man who
lies asleep will never waken fame, and his desire and all his life drift
past him like a dream, and the traces of his memory fade from time like
smoke in air, or ripples on a stream. Now, therefore, rise. Control your
breath, and call upon the strength of the soul that wins all battles unless it
sink in the gross body's fall....show more content...
The reason that Dante is even on this journey is because Beatrice, who is Divine Love, is worried
that Dante has "has strayed onto a friendless shore and stands beset by such distress that he turns
afraid from the True Way". She asksVirgil ,the Roman poet that Dante draws lots of inspiration
from, to lead him through Hell. By doing this, Dante will learn to resist the temptation of sins, and
return to the True Way. However, he would need to gather inner strength to be able to survive the
journey.
Finally, Dante must understand what he sees to be able to return to the True Way, which is the
reward for the journey. Virgil is not taking Dante down through Hell just to chat with the souls down
there, he needs him to understand the consequences, and to prevent his downfall into Hell himself.
Dante does learn the lessons taught by Virgil and Hell, and at the end ofInferno, they "walked out
once more beneath the Stars." This tells us that Dante did learn, and is back on the True Way.
The "Up On Your Feet" passage notes other parts in the story, like the fight back to the True Way,
to resist the temptation of sin, and the reward afterwards. Dante's Inferno is a song that calls to the
heartstrings, because at least once in the story we will make a connection to what Dante is going
through. There is a reason that this is a classic text, and that is the connection that it still has, even in
the present day. This is not a story of a man into Hell, but rather a journey

10. My First Day At My Job
When I start the first day at my job everything seems okay and I feel very excited. To start off I am
barely learning, I have no idea what is going on, and I am being taught how to do my job. It's
very confusing to start out because I have no clue about the job itself. When I get confused, often
times the manager loses their patience and they might get after me if too many mistakes are
being made. Furthermore, this results to many frustrations on job down the line, and now all of a
sudden the thought of giving up comes to mind. It's very important that I learn all of the
respective duties for my job of work, and gather that information for greater success down the
line. The more I process each duty, the more I get the hang of it, thus becoming fairly easier to do
the job. It takes a lot of getting used to and really getting to know the job, and with time I get
better at it. In a job it takes more getting used to, each and every day I'm learning something new
to process in my mind, also to learn from it and get familiar with every task. It's like gathering all
of the information together and putting them together to get started on what you need to do for
the given day. Once I have gotten more familiar with the job, and more comfortable doing it on
my own without the need for help, I realize that it is not so bad once I practice and familiarize
myself with the work. Practicing really gives me the best results in the end. There was a particular
job that I once experienced

With at–risk behaviors, certain incidents or accidents could resolve in time away from work or
either a serious injury or death, which is at the top at the pyramid meaning that fatality, is the highest
risk factor in at–risk behavior. Another important fact in the story that Sam Rollins explained was
the four levels of commitment to safety. The first two levels of this commitment were to comply
with meaning that it was doing something that is told, which in safety terms, being told what to do
to prevent any at–risk behaviors to occur on the job. The second two levels were to believe in the
commitment, meaning you have a choice into committing into safety or not. Level 4 is the highest
level showing that you have a strong commitment in being safe in the working environment. 3 Then
further through the story Mr. Rollins goes into depth with another important fact which is the ABC
performance, which is the activator –behavior–consequence performance. This important fact is
meant for at–risk behaviors to be noticed and be changed for the actions that are being done. With
the first letter A, activator is giving the person motivation to work safely and they would have fool
confidence in themselves. The second letter B symbolizes behavior, just elaborates after the
activator. With the motivation from the activator, the behavior from the person will be positive

Recently there have been two "anti–terrorism" bills that are really affecting Canadian citizens who
weren't born here. Bill C–24 is an attack on duel citizens that were not born in Canada or are eligible
for another citizenship. This bill allows these the Canadian government to revoke your citizenship
if you have committed or are suspected of serious crimes. They could also deport you. This creates
the idea of second class citizens. Some are not able to be targeted well others are immune. Bill C–51
is one that is really complicated, but the something it does are: It gives CSIS and the RCMP
larger power in order to "prevent" terrorism. The issue is no checks and balances, no safeguards,
and nothing in place to make sure what CSIS is doing is legal. It also even has allowed CSIS to
break the charter of rights with permission without the public ever being notified. It also vastly
expands our definition of security and that of which terrorism falls under. The terms definition of
terrorism is very vague. Threats of terrorism can now be considered: interfering with public safety,
the economy or financial security of Canada East. This could trap illegal protestors or the
blockading railways and much more under terrorism charges. The bill also effects a lot more and
threatens the rights and freedoms of many
