At 26, Alvin became a Creative Director in Singapore. And 29, Alvin was promoted to the Regional Creative Director at a WPP agency - overseeing the advertising interest of Japanese clients across Asia.
In 2007, his writing partner Greg Sutcliffe and him led JWT teamHSBC Hong Kong to win 2 global briefs for HSBC. Together, they assisted JWT Worldwide to launch the campaign “Different Points of Values” followed by the global campaign for Commercial Banking. Alvin also led the launch for Premier Banking, Women’s Golf Champion, Asian 5 Nations Rugby and their Green Card.
