Hacienda La Magdalena goes back to the end of XVII century. Due to the proximity with the
Silver trade route from Guadalajara to Zacatecas, the Hacienda was an obligated stop point for
the carriages towards the Hacienda de Copala. By the end of XX century the road to Zacatecas,
going through San Cristobal de la Barranca and Colotlan, passing several ranches, haciendas
and pasture, that gave place to cities, living the old quarter of the Hacienda by the highway.
