reflection of point Reflect the point (a, b) in all quadrants
Solution
The point (a, b) is located in the 1st quadrant, since it's coordinates are both positive.
We'll reflect it about the y-axis. The point (?a, b) is reflected to the second quadrant.
If we'll reflect (a, b) about the x-axis, then it is reflected to the 4th quadrant as the point (a, ?b).
If we'll reflect (a, b) through the origin, then it is reflected to the 3rd quadrant as the point (?a,
?b).
We notice that in the 3rd quadrant, both coordinates have negative values.
