3. What skill will your students develop during this project?
Why is this skill important for your students?
What student interests you might use to develop it?
What is the added value of developing this skill through international project?
Skills: Speaking, writing and using ICT at the English lessons.
Why are these skills important?
Students will feel more involved and not afraid of using the language. It is important to get to know about other
cultures, to understand what is common and what is different. Speaking is the first skill you need to
communicate.
ICT- it’s everyday necessity. It is a real possibility to meet real partners online (meaningful and intelligent use
of ICT)
What student interest we will use to develop it?
Students are interested in the use of new technologies, they use their smartphones, tablets or computers
every day. We will focus on the themes students have mentioned: music, sport, daily life, free time, school, use
of computers, video (computer) games etc.
Added value - an international project gives a possibility to develop speaking skills in authentic
situations. It means through the project they will be able to show their creativity, they will meet the partners at
the same age, working together will make them more cooperative, responsible, tolerant, polite. They will
understand that teenagers all over the world have similar interests and challenges.
