  4. 4. WHAT IS CONSIDERED MOBILE? • Mobile encompasses all devices designed to provide ubiquitous communication power. • Modern mobile devices provide powerful computing capabilities and Internet access. • Can be a cell phone, wearable technology or even something meant to travel with us.

WHY IS MOBILE MARKETING SO IMPORTANT? • Mobile marketing is always “on” - The new mindset is “think Mobile first” • Mobile websites are indexed first before desktop sites • In 2015, mobile searches historically outperformed desktop searches and the trend continues to climb to date • Remarketing advertisement
  7. 7. • Apps have evolved to the point that they can be deep linked and appear in Google mobile search results. • This means more search result “real estate” can be conquered by your brand with the use of an app on the Google Play Store APPS CAN APPEAR IN MOBILE SEARCH RESULTS
  8. 8. • Bluetooth 'beacons' are a simple way for marketers to communicate with customers in physical locations via apps • Allows for businesses to push notifications to phones and offer personalized treatment to customers BEACONS
  9. 9. • Siri, Cortana, Alexa and Google Now offer answers to questions and commands • Purchases can be made and services scheduled without even seeing a screen • With the introduction of Google Assistant, voice search has become conversational and can lead to newer opportunities for the end user.   11. 11. ACCELERATE D MOBILE PAGES (AMP) • For many, reading on the mobile web is a slow, clunky and frustrating experience - but it doesn’t have to be that way. The Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) Project is an open source initiative that allows publishers to create mobile optimized content once and have it load instantly everywhere. • This currently is in effect for news based content, but is expected to expand its reach in the near future
  12. 12. • Beyond Pay-Per-Click advertising on Mobile is Expanded Text Ads. They are 2x bigger than current text ads. • The new ads are designed to maximize your presence and performance on mobile search results with a bigger headline and an extra long description. EXPANDED TEXT ADS These have been in live testing for a bit in 2016, but they will become the norm starting January 31st, 2017. Standards ads will no longer be able to be made/edited.
  14. 14. Virtual Reality & Augmented Reality In its infancy now, VR/AR will further develop and give rise to new marketing opportunities. Just look what Pokémon Go did in a short amount of time.
  15. 15. • While online ordering is a current trend, the concept of performing an action on a mobile device to get gratification in the “real-world” will develop even further. • The only thing stopping drone delivery from taking off is the lack of drones that can avoid crashing. We are not far from that technology. • Retail will see a reinvention - Amazon Go is the first to take this bold step. It is a new kind of store with no checkout required. A few examples: Who knows what marketing opportunities will exist with this in the future? Who really wants to know for that matter?
