TWO YEAR CLASSROOM PROGRAM

For students moving to Class XI
Two year classroom program of Academic World is one of the most effective courses for IIT-JEE and CBSE board examination
preparation. This program prepares students for both the IIT-JEE and school curriculum(Physics, Chemistry and
Mathematics). Extra care is taken to ensure that the sudden transition from class X to XI goes smoothly along with IIT-JEE
preparation. Besides the academic inputs, the course has been designed with lot of stress being laid to motivate the students
from time to time.

Duration:
689 hours of classroom interaction comprising of 650 hours of basic training plus 48 hours of final revision (all module tests,
CBSE pattern practice tests and doubt clearing sessions are extra). Basic training will be completed by November/December
2011 and the revision will be in February/March 2012.

Course Structure and Flow :
The entire two year program is divided into 5 modules (a module is like a school semester, containing a collection of
topics of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) , in which 3 modules are conducted in the first year when the student is in
class XI and 2 Modules in the second year when the student is in Class XII.

Course Structure in the first year:
· The first module shall cover the topics of PCM which are purely a part of class XI CBSE syllabus and topics where
in the CBSE and IIT-JEE level requirements are same. Teaching will commence from basic level which will be
raised to CBSE level and further to IIT-JEE level. To ensure that students have been able to assimilate the topics
taught in the first module, two CBSE pattern tests and one IIT-JEE pattern test will be conducted. The answer
sheets will be evaluated and feedback will be given along with suggestions for improvement.
· The second and third module will deal with those topics in class XI in which the IIT-JEE level is higher than the CBSE
level and complex problems have to be tackled. Only after the CBSE level of these topics has been achieved the more
complex IIT-JEE level concepts and applications will be dealt with. Each topic will be covered simultaneously for
CBSE level as well as IIT-JEE level.

Course structure in the second year:
In class XII each topic will simultaneously be covered for CBSE as well as IIT-JEE level. Topics of class XII CBSE syllabus
which are not a part of IIT-JEE syllabus will also be covered in this program.

Study Material:
· An exhaustive and complete study material, module wise for both the CBSE and IIT-JEE level is given. No extra
book, study material or journal is required by the student.
 Simulator Test Bank which includes more than 3000 objective questions.
 YSP : Problem Package of 2100 questions (700 each for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry)

Daily Practice Paper: After the class everyday students will be given Daily Practice Paper.

Testing and Feedback:
· 2 3 short objective quizzes to review topics taught in each module.
· Mid-module tests.
· Module test after completion of each module based on the current pattern of IIT-JEE.
· CBSE Pattern Practice Tests in both class XI and XII. The students will be provided with evaluated answer sheets and
suggestions for improvement.
· Micro-level Analysis follows each IIT-JEE pattern test where a student's performance is compared with the average
performer in the test as well as the Topper of the test. The students would be given information regarding the topics
where their performance needs to be improved.
· Students of Classroom Program are eligible to write the full syllabusAll India Test Series.

Doubt Clearing Sessions:
In addition to the classroom teaching, the students are free to clarify their doubts from our faculty in the doubt clearing sessions.

Workshops :
In the first year, 2 workshops namely Time Management and Focus IIT-JEE will be conducted. In the second year, 2
workshops namely Maximizing Performance in IIT-JEE and Managing Stress in class XII will be conducted. These
workshops are designed and conducted by the experts of Academic World.

Course Options, Frequency and Timing:

This program is available in 2 options:

Weekday Option: Classes will be conducted 3 or 4 days in a week from Tuesday through Sunday for 4 hours on each day.
Classes will be held from 15:30 hours to 19:45 hours (for 4 hours duration)

Weekend Option: Classes will be conducted on Saturdays, Sundays and School holidays for 6 hours on each day. Classes will
be held from 09:30 hours to 16:30 hours (for 6 hours duration)

Admission Procedure
Students for all classroom programs are selected based on an Admission-cum-Scholarship Test held at various times in a year.
Students are required to register themselves before the Admission Test.
Registration Process for Admission-cum-Scholarship test
You need to register by filling up the Registration Form (available at our classroom centers and website), deposit 2 recent passport
size photographs and registration fee of Rs.500/- in Cash or by Demand Draft in favour of “Toppers Infocomm.(P) Ltd.” payable at
New Delhi .At the time of registration you would be given the admit card for the admission-cum-scholarship test.
Pattern of Admission-cum-Scholarship Test
The Admission-cum-Scholarship test is of three hours duration. The test has two sections namely Section-A and Section-B.
Section A will have 60 questions from Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics and Section B will have 10 questions from analytical
ability. All questions will be multiple choice questions and Test will be conducted online at our learning center. Syllabus for
scholarship-cum-Admission Test for one year classroom program is CBSE Board Syllabus of XI and XII in Physics, Mathematics
and Chemistry. Syllabus for scholarship-cum-Admission Test for Two year classroom program is CBSE Board Syllabus of IX and
X in Science and Mathematics.

Each correct response to a question will fetch you 4 marks and an incorrect response will attract deduction of 1 mark
Selection Criteria: There is no predefined criteria for selection of students.It is very much possible that a student with a lower total
score may get selected in preference to another with higher total score because of performance in various sections. Since the mode
of selection does not follow a simple criteria, students would not be given any scores for theAdmission Test.

Scholarship Criteria
Scholarships are granted based on the total score. Scholarships are fee waivers given to students based on their performance in
Admission Test only. They are given as a reward to motivate well performing students and therefore, should not be considered
merely as a discount. Securing scholarship is a reward in itself even if the amount is not very significant.

Result
The result of the Admission-cum Scholarship Test is generally declared within 15 minutes of the Test as our Test is Online and Test
Reports are generated as soon as you submit the Test. Selection letters will be provided to you within 30 minutes of the Test. There
is no provision of re-grading and re-totalling of scores . Therefore, no enquiry in this regard is entertained. However a student can
always write another Admission- cum Scholarship Test to improve his/her performance to take admission in our institute.

Fee Payment:
Fee is to be paid by crossed demand draft/local clearing cheques in favour of Toppers Infocomm.(P) Ltd.Payable at New Delhi
Service Tax shall be charged on the final fee payable. Post-dated cheques of local clearing must be submitted at the time of
enrollment.

Class Commencement
The date of commencement of classes is intimated at the time of admission.

Academic Scholarships and Fee Concessions:

A. Academic scholarships upto 75% of the total course fee are givenbased on the performance in the admission-cum-
scholarship Test.
B. Direct Admission with Academic Scholarship:
Students who have scored 90% aggregate marks in class X Board and meet the following criteria are eligible for
Direct Admission to our Board-cum- One Year Classroom Program with academic scholarships upto 75% of the course
fee as per details mentioned below:

Criteria Scholarship (B-OYCP

100% marks in both Mathematics and Science Rs. 51,375/-

Minimum 95% marks in one subject and 100% marks in the other out Mathematics and Science Rs. 34.250/-

Minimum 95% marks in both Mathematics and Science Rs.20,550/-

Students who are joining before the declaration of their board results will be entitled for the higher of the two scholarships i.e.
between the academic scholarship awarded on the basis of the admission Test and the scholarship mentioned in the above criteria.
Such students shall be refunded the difference amount (if any) after submission of photocopy of class X mark sheet along with
the original for verification.

Special Category Fee Concessions :
10% concession on fee payable will be given to the wards of school teachers / widows / serving and retired JCOs and NCOs of the
armed forces and para-military forces. Only one fee concession can be availed under this category.
10% concession of fee payable will also be given to the sibling of existing and ex-Academic World Classroom program Students
This Special category fee concession will be applicable on the net fee payable after deduction of Academic Scholarship and / or
any other fee concession (if any). This concession would be refunded after verification of the required and relevant profs
submitted.

Fee Concession for Girl Students
To promote higher education amongst girl students an additional concession of 10% will be given on the course fee payable after
deduction of academic scholarship (if any) & special category fee concession (if any).

Rules and Regulations:
This document informs you of the various Rules and Regulation of Academic World IIT-JEE Learning Centre. Please read this
carefully.

1. Fee once paid will not be refunded of adjusted at any stage and under any circumstance.
2. Students enrolled atAcademic World IIT-JEE Classroom Centre have to maintain proper decorum in the institute premises
at all times. Indiscipline of any form or misbehavior with staff could lead suspension/ rustication.
3. Students who frequently come late to institute, may not be allowed in the institute premises.
4. If a student is absent from classes more than 3 days in a row he/she is required to inform in writing to the Vice- President-
Academics. In case of absenteeism for long periods without prior intimation, the admission of student may be deemed
cancelled without any notice and without any refund of fee.
5. Any change of address should be notified to the office administration without delay.
6. Student must be in possession of Academic World Identity Card while coming for classes and must produce the same for
checking by the Academic World's staff, before entry. Identity cards lost or misplaced will be replaced with a duplicate
identity Card on depositing a passport size photograph and Rs. 50/-
7. If any cheque is dishonoured for any reason, appropriate action may be initiated as per Negotiable Instruments Act. An
administrative charge of Rs.250/- would be levied for every dishonoured cheque and the fee in lieu of the dishonoured
cheque will strictly have to be submitted vide a Bank Demand Draft/ Pay Order only.
8. In case of any increase in the Service Tax or Education Cess (from the existing rate of 10% Service tax plus 3% education
cess thereon) by the government of India, such increase in tax shall be borne by the student from the date of notification by
the Government of India.
9. The student is solely responsible for the fulfillment of eligibility criteria for entrance examination/course. The institute
would not be responsible if the student's admission form is not forwarded or is rejected on any ground. Getting admission
forms and submitting to the examining body for IIT-JEE/ other engineering entrances will be the sole responsibility of
students/ parents.
10. Students enrolled with Academic World have to submit a photocopy of their admit card and application form of IT-JEE/
other engineering entrance examination as son as they receive it, failing which, the student would not receive their Young
Star Package (YSP),Test Series or any other question papers, study package, prizes/rewards etc.
11. Academic World reserves the right to use the photographs and /or testimonial letter of the student in any promotional/
publicity material of the institute.
12. In order to help the students, the institute may provide information about some private hostels being run in the vicinity of
the institute.Academic World does not take responsibility for any hostel whose information may be provided by it.
13. Academic World reserves the right to change or alter the classroom program, fee or rules and regulations without any prior
notice to anybody. The management's shall be final and binding on the student and their parents.
