2. Itinerary
Day 1 Amman Airport - Amman
Our meet and assist representative will pick you up
from Amman Airport and you will be transferred to
Amman.
Day 2 Amman - Desert Castles - Amman
Tour (click for details)
After breakfast you will head east to the Desert
Castles, then return to Amman for a visit of the Old
part of the city.
Day 3 Amman - Umm Qais - Ajloun -
Jerash - Amman (click for details)
In the morning, you will depart towards Umm Qais.
On the way back to Amman you will enjoy a visit of
Ajloun and Jerash.
Day 4 Amman - Madaba - Nebo - Kerak -
Petra (click for details)
Today you will continue your tour heading south,
towards Petra, with visits of Madaba, Nebo and
Kerak en route.
Day 5 Full day Petra visit (click for details)
Enjoy a full day visit of the rose-red city of Petra.
Day 6 Petra - Wadi Rum 4x4 tour (click for
details)
Transfer from Petra to Wadi Rum, where you will
take on a 4x4 Jeep tour over the colorful sand dunes.
In the evening you will enjoy a traditional dinner
and overnight under the stars in a Bedouin camp.
Day 7 Wadi Rum free - Dead Sea (click for
details)
Free morning in Wadi Rum where you can opt
for any of our extra activities. At noon you will be
transferred to the Dead Sea.
Day 8 Dead Sea - Amman Airport
Free morning to relax at the Dead Sea. At the
appointed time, you will head towards Amman
Airport for your departure flight.
3. Day 2
Desert Castles & Amman Tour
This morning we will head to the eastern Jordanian
desert to see three examples of the Desert Castles, built
by the Umayyad caliphs in the 7th and 8th century.
Qasr Kharanah is featured by high walls and four corner
towers. Qasr Amra is a UNESCO Wold Heritage Site due
to its unique fresco paintings representing an early stage
of Islamic art. Last visit will be to Qasr Azraq, used already
by the Romans, but most popular occupant had been T.
E Lawrence of Arabia, who had here his headquarter
during the Arab Revolt. After visiting Desert Castles, we
will head back to the Capital of Jordan, Amman and start
our half-day City Tour in Amman. Start your Amman
City sightseeing with a visit to the King Abdulla Mosque
which was completed in 1989 as a memorial by the late
King Hussein to his grandfather. Then pay a visit to the
Amman Citadel, Roman Amphitheater. After the city tour
of Amman, we will head back to hotel for overnight.

4. Day 3
Umm Qais, Ajloun & Jerash
Today we will drive two hours from Amman to Gadara
(Umm Qais), which belonged to the famous Decapolis, a
union of 10 cities, founded by Alexander the Great. Here
you have an overwhelming view over the north Jordan
Valley, the Golan Heights and the Sea of Galilee and stroll
through the Greco-Roman remains. After the visit of Um
Qais, we will head towards Jerash, the well preserved city
of the Roman Empire, often called Pompeii of the East.
Visit Hadrian’s Arch, built in 130 AD to honor the visit of
Emperor Hadrian. Pass the Hippodrome offering space for
15,000 spectators, the impressing Forum, continue to the
Temple of Artemis, which columns are 12 meters high and
each drum weights 20-40 tons. Other highlights are the
Colonnaded Street and the Nymphaeum. After Jerash, we
will head out to visit Ajloun the great 12th century Islamic
castle built around 1184/85 by the famous Islamic leader
Salah al-Din. After visiting the Ajloun Castle, we will head
back to Amman hotel for overnight.

5. Day 4
Madaba, Mount Nebo & Kerak
Today we will drive towards the town Madaba, where you
find the famous mosaic 6th century map of Palestine in
St. George’s church. After that continue to Mt. Nebo, the
place where Prophet Moses gazed at the promised land
before he died and alleged to be his burial place. You will
visit an old monastery; overlook the Jordan Valley, Dead
Sea and parts of the Holy Land. Then we will proceed
towards Kerak. This crusader castle that was built in 1132
is situated on top of a high mountain overlooking the city.
You can wander through underground corridors with
huge kitchens, stables and sleeping quarters with several
floors. The top of the castle offers magnificent views in
all directions. After visiting Kerak, we depart to Petra for
overnight at hotel.

6. Day 5
Petra
Today you will explore the rose red city of Petra, the biggest
attraction of Jordan. Petra was first established around
the 6th century B.C. by the Nabataean Arabs, a nomadic
tribe who settled in the area and laid the foundations of
a commercial empire that extended into Syria. Upon
arrival you will begin the trip on horse back to the canyon,
the so called Siq, and then by foot to the most beautiful
monument: the Treasury. Among other monuments you
will see are the Street of Facades, the Royal Tombs and
Pharaoh’s Castle. Petra was also chosen to be one of the
New 7 Wonders of the world.

7. Day 6
Wadi Rum
Today we will drive towards the protected area of Wadi
Rum, one of the most impressing desert landscapes in the
World. The area was made famous in the west by Lawrence
of Arabia who described it as “vast, echoing and god-like”.
Discover the area featured by rugged mountains and
colored sand dunes during a 4x4 Jeep tour, enjoy canyons,
sand dunes and rock inscriptions. After the excursion we
will head to our camp for dinner & overnight.

8. Day 7
Dead Sea
Today you will be transfered to the lowest point on earth,
the Dead Sea where you will have free time where you may
enjoy floating, sun bath and mud wrapping of the Dead
Sea and make your body benefit from the medical feature
of the Dead Sea minerals. Overnight at the resort on the
shores of the Dead Sea.
