  1. TALKING POINT The 2030 Agenda provides a clear framework for agenda. <talk to slide>
  2. We believe that we should have data disaggregated by income, education and geography at the minimum but also by sex, age and ability but we are not there yet and it will require significant investment.
  3. Tiering of indicators – is it more an agency perspective? Why only few countries collect data on child discipline or sexual violence – are these not priorities for most of the countries? Why no attempt to improve and use administrative data systems? How does a country meet the challenges of data disaggregation? Do countries have adequate statistical capacity? How much of the statistical development activities in countries donor driven? The national indicator framework developed independent of national development plans Only those global Indicators for which country data available are included in the national indicator framework Tier III indicators dropped – no alternative or proxy indicators proposed Global guidance on development of national indicator framework was available only in January 2017 but it was only a UNDG guidelines for UNCT
