2. Are you wondering how big
your baby is, what it looks like
when it grows inside you and
how your little one lives inside
the womb? Take a look
at your sweetheart's journey
inside the womb and see how a
baby grows month by month.
4. Conception happens when a
sperm meets and penetrates an
egg inside the womb. After 3
days of conception, the
fertilized egg passes through
the fallopian tube into the
uterus, where it gets attached
to the uterine wall and starts
developing day by day.
7. At this stage, the baby
is forming its structures
& the baby’s face &
neck are formed now.
The heart and blood
vessels are still in
developing condition
and lungs, stomach,
and the liver begins to
develop.
9. Now the baby is just
over half an inch in
size. The eyelids and
ears form & you can
see the nose tip. The
arms & legs have
formed as well. The
toes & fingers have
started to grow longer
and more distinct.
11. Now the baby is about
2 inches tall & starts
making movements.
You can begin to feel
your uterus above your
pubic bone. Using
special equipment the
doctor can detect the
baby's heartbeat.
13. Now the baby
measures about 4.3 to
4.6 inches & weighs
around 3.5 ounces. You
should be able to feel
around 3 in below your
belly button at the top
of your uterus. The
eyes of the baby may
blink.
15. Now the infant weighs
about 10 ounces and is
just over 6 inches long.
Your uterus should be
up to your stomach
button level. The baby
will be able to suck a
thumb, yawn, stretch,
and make faces.
17. The baby now weighs
around 1.4 pounds and
reacts to sounds by
raising his pulse or by
moving. The baby may
be able to sense being
upside down in the
womb with the inner
ear fully developed.
19. Now, the baby weighs
about 2 pounds and 6
ounces and changes
position often at this
point in pregnancy. In
case of premature
delivery. It is important
to ask the doctor about
preterm labour
warning signs.
21. Now, the baby weighs
almost 4 pounds and is
moving around often.
The skin of the infant
has fewer lines, as a
fat layer begins to
form under the skin.
You might find a
leakage of yellow fluid
from your breasts.
23. At this point, a baby
weighs about 6 pounds
and is about 18.5
inches tall. The brain
has developed and the
lungs are almost
formed to the
maximum. By now, the
head is usually placed
down into the pelvis.
25. The due date for a mom marks the end of her
40th week. The date of delivery is determined
using the first day of her final period. Depending
on this, pregnancy can last between 38 and 42
weeks with a full delivery occurring around 40
weeks or so. For safety reasons, most babies are
delivered by 42 weeks. Sometimes the doctor
may need to induce labour.
