My duties included assisting the President in the local’s performance to serve and administer to
employee and university rights. In the absence or inability of the President to serve, I presided
over all meetings and performed all duties otherwise performed by the President. I was
responsible for the development of a proposed annual budget to be presented to the annual UPTE
convention. I established a system for the bonding of staff and officers of campus locals subject
to employment law.

I oversaw the annual audit of the organization's finances and presented the results of the audit to
annual report to the membership.

I was the chief note taker. I participated in negotiating, writing, and interpreting contracts.
