FARMER was established in 2002 by the like
minded scientists and persons having aptitude of

Agriculture Extension and Research with focus on
sugarcane crop and productions
Firstly started in three divisions of Meerut,
Moradabad, Saharanpur, comprising of 11 districts
of western UP. Sugarcane is a major crop of this
region sown on an area of 10.96 lakh hectares out FARMER has a goal to
of total cropped area of 24.5 lakh hectares. become self sustainable
by providing at cost
The percentage of area under sugarcane in research services to
different districts varies from 20-72%. There are Sugar Industries and
more than 40 Sugar Mills in this area which can Registered Farmers with
