  1. System set-up needed for this session: Laptop with audio-output socket and multi-media output port to the LCD projector. Audio system with a mixer Either collar-mike or hand-held mike, connected to the audio mixer. Hand-held electronic pointer (Preferred)
  2. Tasks for the Animation maker: Segment the body parts, try to maintain as shown above. Children will be asked to name the parts. As the child names the part, that particular part should appear on the screen (flying) at the appropriate place as per the place in the body. You may put a code table on the screen, which the teacher will use to make the part to appear on the screen. This will be done for 6-8 parts. There should be a “show all” button on the screen. After the initial few parts, the teacher to press this “Show all” button to get the whole picture into the screen. You may assign some sound for each part as it appears on the screen, just for fun to the children. Tasks for the Teacher: Start the class in a very friendly way with the children. Ask them to name the body parts, one by one. As one student names the part, press the relevant code in the table, to make that particular part to appear on the screen. Make the exercise enjoyable for the children give chance to new participants, you may continue this for 6-8 parts. Then, press the button “show all” on the screen, to show the entire body on the screen. Tell the children how much fortunate they are to have a wonderful body given to us. Its our duty to take care of it in a proper way, to keep it healthy.
  3. Tasks for the Animation maker: No animation for this slide Tasks for the Teacher: Pick up the parts of the body from head to toe (follow the list) one by one (till S.No: 7). Just left click the mouse, items will appear one by one. Have a rehearsal before. Ask the children to describe the care that we normally take for the particular part. After they answer, click the actual answer (the student’s answer may be close to the printed answer. It does not matter!) After S.No:7, you may emphasize on the point that we generally take much less care of our internal organs and mind. You may communicate to them that they are fortunate ones to have a good body and mind. Without both of these, success in the world will be difficult. Lastly, the proverb: “Mind rules over the body; stronger mind makes a strong body”
  4. Tasks for the Teacher: Explain the instructions to the students. (2 min) Click the 1st part, the mantra chanting ‘Om’ will begin automatically. Observe the students, if any one is facing any difficulty. As the mantra ends (plays for 1 min), pause for moment. Ask the experience of the students. Proceed to next part after a couple of feedback. Complete all the parts mentioned. Estimated time: ~ 16 min.
  5. Tasks for the Animation maker: Create an animation of energy in the form of sound ‘Om’ entering the body from the top of the head. Then, it flows through the body downward, very slowly. Finally, it leaves from the feet. Use the cartoon of a young child. Tasks for the teacher: Explain the instructions to the students. (2 min) Click the Animation icon, the mantra chanting ‘Om’ will begin automatically. Say “Now the mantra ‘Om’ is entering your body from the top of your head. Its flowing through your body. From the top it has come to center of the head, then to the neck, to the heart, to the lungs, to the spine, to the internal organs, the liver, the pancreas, the kidneys, the urinary systems, the reproductive systems, the hips & hip joints, the thighs, the knees & knee joints, the calf muscles, the ankles, the feet. (Take about 1:30 min) Observe the students, if any one is facing any difficulty. As the mantra ends (after about 1:30 min), pause for moment. Ask the experience of the students. Repeat the step again after a couple of feedback, for 5 times. Estimated time: ~ 10 min.
  6. Note for the Teacher: Teach the way the mantra ‘OM’ to be chanted. Practice the mantra ‘OM’ for 20 min, each time it may span for about 10-12 seconds.
  7. Tasks for the teacher: Explain the benefits of chanting the mantra, as given.
  8. Notes for the Teacher: Just have an interactive session here. Let the students open up, telling their experiences. Try to find if they could relax in the previous few minutes.
  9. Tasks for the teacher: Explain the contents of the slide to the students.
  10. Notes for the Teacher: This is a classroom exercise, make it interesting and participative. Ask every student to breath as per his / her own normal practice. Breathing will start with the timer going on , and will stop after 1 min, when the timer stops. Let each student keep a count of breaths. One breath means: one inhalation + one exhalation. After the times stops, ask all students to stand up. Ask the first group, whose count was more than 25 (This is very fast breathing), to sit down. Next groups to sit down will be with breaths between 20-25, then 15-20, then 12-15 and last 8-12. Emphasize to the group that too fast breathing is not good.
  11. Notes for the Teacher: This is also an interactive session. Let each student now breath, but this time, in a controlled manner. Start the audio and the breathing be in sync with the audio. At the end, ask the students if they felt any difference.
  12. Notes for the teacher: This was the first session. Get the feedback from the students, note them down if possible. This can be used for improvement of our sessions. Bless the children.
