Situation: The Boston Housing Authority (BHA) Is
the City of Boston’s agency responsible for
subsidized public housing. The City of Boston has
mandated a set ratio of the number of elderly and
non-elderly disabled residents in public housing.
Complication: BHA’s tenant base (50K+ people)
does not meet the city’s mandated ratio.
Question: Why does the ratio gap exist, and how
can BHA address it?
 Conduct in-depth data analysis and stakeholder
interviews to pinpoint problems.
 Analyze existing tenant acquisition process to
identify bottlenecks.
 Propose new strategy and revision to the tenant
acquisition process.

The City of Boston has mandated a set ratio of the number of elderly and non-elderly disabled residents in public housing. Complication: BHA’s tenant base (50K+ people) does not meet the city’s mandated ratio. Question: Why does the ratio gap exist, and how can BHA address it?  Conduct in-depth data analysis and stakeholder interviews to pinpoint problems.  Analyze existing tenant acquisition process to identify bottlenecks.  Propose new strategy and revision to the tenant acquisition process.

Develop a fundraising deck for $6M capital campaign, with focus on funding construction of a new building. Fundraising deck formed basis of marketing strategy for entire capital campaign. Organization of 15,000 medical students focusing on health issues facing the Asian American community. 80 active chapters nationwide. Create a national donor outreach strategy to raise $50,000 for an annual conference in New York City. With 9 months until conference, secured funding from the U.S. Navy, Columbia University, and the Einstein College of Medicine. Valadus has driven impact for a range of established non-profits
