JOB DESCRIPTION:JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Work under the direction of the Driller and/or Rig Manager.
• Work on the rig floor during tripping operations as directed by the Driller.
• Operate pipe handling equipment on the drilling location.
• Train and mentor new Floormen as they are assigned to the rig.
• Perform the daily and weekly maintenance on the various rig floors drilling
equipment.
• Responsible for maintaining a high standard of housekeeping in the rig floor area.
• Operate the rig floor tubular handling equipment both safely and efficiently.
• Ensure that all relevant rig safety procedures and practices are followed during
drilling operations.
• Attend safety meetings including pre-tour, toolbox and task risk assessment meetings.
• Report any incidents, potential hazards or abnormal situations that they observe
promptly to the Driller, Assistant Driller, Derrickman and Lead Floorman.
• Respond to any well control situations promptly as directed and practiced in the
various safety drills
