- PV – What – Giving free printed textbooks (amongst other things) to qualifying students – last year 1st years only, this year 1st and 2nd and so on.PV – Why – Enhanced fees, value for money, attract and meet the needs of studentsPV – How – Tender process, dept budgets, co-ordinated and managed by library project teamPV – Details – Why Ingram Coutts – Understood the concept, able to adapt as project developed.....
- DD – Details Collaboration – regular and frequent joint project meetings. (IT developments to bags) Staging area – MK Lightning Source. 23k books distributed to approx 3400 students, all pre-packed in course sets. 2 weeks – time tabled 1st week 70% in the first week, thanks to continual promotion of the project by Phil and team. Student ID – Coventry Universe (database) enhanced to include project details – ID card scanning.
- PV - ResultsDelivered on time – in the main due to thorough planning and being able to adapt processes as the project evolved.Staffing - Everyone involved in the project committed 100%, Library, ITS, Ingram Coutts, Estates, Invigilators, Student Ambassadors and even registry staff (particularly useful).No queues – (click) we planned for all eventualities, even an awning in case of adverse weather but distribution went without hitch.97.2% of students surveyed reported that they found it easy to get their promised items. High student satisfaction!!
