3. Introduction
This report presents overall design of Home Automation
with Security System. This is an IoT based project. After
research, we make a successful prototype. Using the
Ethernet and microcontroller technology we design a
Home Automation System where the entire electrical item
will be controlled through mobile application. Using the
internet people can also monitor room temperature, Gas
occurrence in kitchen, detect theft and unusual activities in
room through their mobile phones and act accordingly.
Comparing to other systems this is low cost, attractive,
user friendly interface and it’s very easy to install. After
implementation of all functions, the system is tested in
different stages and it works successfully as a prototype.

4. Objectives
The main objective is to provide ease to
people to control different home
appliances with the help of the android
application present in their mobile
phones and to get maximum security in
absence and even in owner’s presence.
The owner will receive a message
on his mobile phone whenever some
other person will try to enter the
house. This is a unique system that
provides ease to use appliances and
security solution all together.
This system helps the user to protect
their homes when they are away from it.
Alarm will start ringing along with
spraying tear gases, shutdown doors and
panic lights whenever a burglar tries to
enter the house without authentication
through mobile’s fingerprint sensor.

6. DESIGN
This is the circuit Diagram of the Home Automation
with Security System. It contains a breadboard
which has ESP-8266 attached on it. To ESP-8266
are attached other components like IR sensor,
OLED Display, Relay, Buzzer etc.

The project, Home Automation with Security
System is an IoT-based application that allows
owner of the house automatic access to his/her
home appliances as well as provide complete
security. We can control almost all the electronic
appliances through our smartphones. The smart
sensors sense any kind of breach in security in
owner’s absence. It not just informs the owner
about the breach but also the neighborhood while
taking required action against the breacher. It
provides complete security solutions consisting
buzzers, light alerts, notification, automatic door
lock, tear gas and more. It is useful in offices,
homes, schools, cars etc. It assures you safety,
security, flexibility for future advancement and a
comfortable life. Now you can keep your belongings
safe even when you are not present there.
