• Is the efficient, safe and effective nursing
care which includes activities such as
reassessing the patient, reviewing and
revising the existing nursing care plan,
organising resources and care delivery,
anticipating and preventing complications,
and implementing nursing interventions.
6. Direct and indirect care
• Direct care: the provision of a wide variety of
direct care measures, those activities are the
ones that nurses perform through patient
interaction.eg bathing a patient and
administering an injection
• Indirect care: they are actions that support the
effectiveness of direct care measures NB.
Majority of them are managerial in nature eg.
