Steve jobs
1. Steve Jobs- the legend of technology world.
October 5th 2011 is the day which people all over the world can not forget.
It is the minute people said goodbye to CEO of Apple, Steve Jobs, for the last time.
Apple lost a visionary and creative genius and the world lost an amazing human
being. One more time I have wondered what made him be such successful.
Finally, I found my answer. Maybe his success came from his own passion, his
innovating mind and his determine to overcome failure.
Like other people, Steve had his own passion. After six months in Stanford
University, he decided to drop out and stopped taking the required classes that
didn`t interest him. In fact, entering an expensive university as Stanford was his
family`s wish not his passion. Leaving the university to find another way to
discover himself led him to information technology. In his most famous speech in
Stanford University, he said that “ Your time is limited so don`t waste it living
someone else`s life… And most importance have the courage to follow your heart
and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become.
Everything else is secondary”. With own passion, he devoted all his life to work
hard and creatively. Until last days in his life, many his co-workers till saw him
working for new product. He passed away just one day after IPHONE 4S was
2. introduced to the world. His doctor said that he could pass away earlier but his
love and passion for his job helped him have more energy to wait the born of
IPHONE4. It was his passion that helped him to find true way to achieve success.
If passion took him to follow his dream with all effort, innovating mind
made him be a special person, a genius, in his field. For him, creativity is
connecting things. People with a broad set of life experiences can often see things
that others miss. He took calligraphy classes that did not have any practical use in
his life until he built the Macintosh. It was the first computer with beautiful
typography. He designed Macbook with multiple typefaces and proportionally
spaced fonts, and since windows just copied the Mac. He creatively combined
calligraphy and computer. From mini-computers to generation of Iphones with
touch screen facility, it was a long creative process in his life. He made computers
personal and put the Internet in our pockets. The key in his success here is
3. connecting ideas from different fields and creating as much as possible based on
customers` ambitions.
“Sometimes life hits you in the head with a brick. Do not lose faith”, said
Steve. Obviously, Steve understood this clearly and deeply so he overcame his
faith and kept him going. It was in 1985 when Steve was dismissed from Apple
which was set up by him. It was really his big shock. However , he left Apple and
set up the Next computer next. He overcame his shock and continued his creation
and developed his products. It freed him to enter one of the most creative
periods of his life. In this difficult time, if someone had no passion and no skill and
spirit, they could not do that. After that, when Apple was about to bankrupt,
Steve returned and had a revolution. Steve really left us a big lesson from his
efforts.
When we remind Steve Jobs, we not only remember his contribution and
his influence on information technology but also learn meaningful lessons from
his life. Success is not an easy road. It is not even a straight line. On every steps,
passion, creation and good energy will lead us to achieve success as Steve did. So
start right now, in this instance, to wake on your success because “ if you live each
day as if it was your last, someday you will most certainly be right”.
