The game genre is an open world survival horror shooter which features
zombies. There aremany existinggames that arean influence,some we
have chosen to includein our presentation, likegames such as DyingLight,
an open world horror in which you can parkour around the map dodging
and killingzombies.
Another game which we included is the Last of Us, which is an action
adventure survival horror thatalso features zombies. This game topped the
charts and was rated one of the greatest game of all time.
We also choseto use Dead Island as an examplebecauseit is another open
world survival horror thatinvolves a huge zombie outbreak.
Finally,wechose to use Dead Risingas itincorporates much of what we
want in our cut scene, plenty of zombies and an action packed zombie
killingadventure.
2. Clint
One of the characters willbe called Martin Reaver. His Aliasis Sonar. He is
stereotypicallydescribed as being a strong, masculine leader.
Another character is AndrewReaver. His Alias is Sharpshot. He is stereotypically
described as beingthe hero wholikesto show off.
Hunter andJackReaver share similar characteristics. Theyare bothskilled inmelee
and hunting, whichis whyJack’s Alias is Razor.
Little is knownabout General Marshall, wholeads Apollo 10 and the soldiers in Fort
Dawn. However he has savedover 1000 lives inthe battlefield.
Finally, Laura Soft is the onlyhacker inthis story, which is where she got the Alias
Micro from. She is stereotyped as being the brains of the squad.
In this scene, Fort Dawn, which is the base of operations for Apollo 10 and the
hundreds of other soldiers andplatoon, receives reports of a zombie outbreakthat
is spreading reallyfast and is approachingFort Dawn. Apollo10 needs to gear up
and fight off the zombie horde while tryingto stopthe source. The cut scene takes
place when Apollo10 begintalking about going home.
Colin:
At the beginning of the cut scene, there will notbe any sounds produced.
However, when Andrew, Hunter and General Marshall Storminto the
barrack,the music starts and adds to the tension, with the music getting
louder and the sounds of tambourines clashingin the background.
When General Marshall gives thecode black,the music gets even louder
and more tension is builtup.The sound effects then startto get calmer as
Andrew starts talkingaboutthe zombie outbreak as the team are now
aware of what is happening.
When Apollo 10 exits the barrack,the music turns into a sortof ‘victory’
music as if the war has already been won.
For our sound production,we will useFoley artistry.We will berecording
most sounds via the studio and apply itto the scene. This is the endof the
