Over the course of the six-week engagement, the Microsoft Consulting Services team will evaluate the current application, migrate it to a Development/Test lab in Microsoft Azure, and use Azure DevOps Projects with Azure DevOps Services to create an automated build and release pipeline, work with your operations teams to drive adoption of Modern DevOps, and deliver up to six workshops to demonstrate the DevOps capabilities implemented during the engagement.

DevOps Implementation
for Applications
INITIATION: Week 1 During the initiation phase, we will assess the existing application.
This phase includes:
• Detailed walk-through of the Statement of Work to agree on an
initial project schedule and approach.
• Holding a Kick-off meeting.
• Hosting of workshops to review the target application and
understand its components and plan for how it will be hosted on
Azure.
IMPLEMENTATION:
Weeks 2 - 5
In the implementation phase, we will work to apply DevOps tools
and processes to your existing application:
This phase includes:
• Establishment of Azure DevOps Projects based account.
• Development and Operations process evaluation and
development of recommendations roadmap.
• Migration of source code to Azure Repos (created by DevOps
Projects) or integration with existing git-based repo supported
out-of-the-box by Azure Repos.
• Creation of Azure Resource Manager Template project.
• Development of PowerShell or Azure CLI scripts.
• Move database under version control
• Create Build and Release definitions and Environments.
• Add automated tests and static code analysis to build
process.
• Add telemetry to solution.
CONSOLIDATION:
Week 6
During the consolidation phase, we will:
• Host workshops.
• Demonstrate capabilities.
• Host a closeout meeting.
