4. The HSA was founded in 1964 as the Lowell Highland Little League. In 2009, the league joined with the Cal Ripken League to become today’s Highland Sports Association. Inclusion in the Cal Ripken League allows the HSA greater opportunity to participate in various tournaments throughout the area. “ Like all non-profit youth sport organizations, The Highland Sports Association faces the yearly challenge of making the games of baseball and softball affordable and fun for all participants.
