Help at home - Write a diary entry about
what you did when helping out in the
garden. What did you learn? What did you
see?
Write detailed step by step instructions for a
recipe, task or chore you do at home. You
may include pictures.
Pick any sustainable activity that you do not
currently do at home, e.g., using less
water/power, using natural cleaning
products, growing a vegetable garden etc.

explanation about what your family has
done and how this activity has changed
your household.

not to drive their children to school.
Remember to use a range of persuasive
devices, e.g., exaggeration, direct voice
and statistics.
You‟re in charge of recycling for
5 days. Record using a tally
chart the types of materials you
place in the recycling bin. Could
you recycle more?
Create a miniature
scarecrow or smilecrow
using recyclable materials.
Take a photo of each
step and write a set of
instructions so others can
make one too.

and when it starts to grow
measure it every day. Record
with the date in your book. Plot
your results on a line graph.
