Notas do Editor
The Eden Alternative Registry is committed to Person-Directed Care
Visitors spend about 4 min on the site – amazing!60% are new visitorsGo to about 5 pages per visit: resources -> learn about Eden -> finding a homeIncludes international hits too – US, Canada, Australia, EuropeGet requests almost daily of someone looking for an Eden home in their area
My goal is to reach the point where we have homes complaining because they cannot get on the conference calls and we have to expand the # of linesAre recording Dr. Thomas’ calls
Internat’l conf – rates for Registered Homes and super saver rates if sending 8 people or moreThe opportunity to become well-known – not just being posted with a link on the Eden website but through providing webinars, posting Elder stories, organizational success stories, data, helping develop new educational materials – the more involved you become, the better known you are to EHO and more likely it is that we will send people your direction (Elders, families, researchers, media, etc)Advantage Trust buying group discountsQ & A
Love it when receive handwritten testimonials from the teams, signed by all the team members. It shows that the home was keeping the process simple.Survey history: the public sees your survey results and now the NH compare stars; we want to help Eden homes shine in those evaluations as well; by sharing your survey history it helps broaden the picture of how a home is doing –you can either copy off the report itself, or provide a one page summary of the tags and your next steps – because the Registry is an honor society and because your evaluation by the survey system reflects not only on your home but also on your peers on the Registry and on Eden itself, we expect homes to be honorable when they run into rough patches – you can pull your tree plaque off the wall while you make needed changes and then put it back up when you are back on track – just let the Community Builder know so we can adjust the website temporarily - The warmth surveys are posted on the website (under Resources – Spreading the Word) and can be submitted electronically by contacting the Community Builder. If you are joining, some baseline data will need to be submitted.
Four key positions need to remain as CEAs – if someone new is hired, they need to be trained ASAP – the home can work with the Eden Education Coordinator to arrange to attend a CEA class or for the home to host one themselves
Additional materials: language for your website, earning symbols of recognition
Gathering information about areas of expertise –posted on the Eden website on the Registered Homes Only pages of the websitePolling questionSymbols of recognition – earn them – enjoy them – remove them and earn them again
Milestone 1 is available to everyone since it will soon be a part of what organizations need to complete in order to join the Registry. Non-Registered organizations pay $200 for the Resource Guide and $100 for the Toolkit which only contains 9 of the 16 tools.
