JOB DESCRIPTION
Client Name: GE (General electric) Power and Water.
Designation: EHS Specialist / EHS Manager.
Project : O&M , CMS (Projects and Services) EHS in-charge for 33 sites across India,
managing team of 72 FSR’s , 309 contingent workers team down the line to provide
support at customer sites (Oil refineries, Steel plants, IT, FMGC, Power,) with respect to
Operations and Maintenance, Water treatment plants (ETP, STP and WTP with multiple
model support CONVENTIONAL, RO, MBR, EDR).
Key Responsibilities:
 Policy/Procedures :
Responsible to develop, implement and regularly improve all EHS policies, procedures and
systems to ensure compliance with applicable environmental, health and safety
regulations.
 Monitoring/Auditing
Developing and implementing monthly and periodic EHS audit programs to monitor and
measure site compliance with all programs. Identifying applicable corrective actions.
Ensuring Plant Management is actively engaged in the audit process and all EHS systems.
 Organizational Communication
Using communications systems to generate safe work practices and reinforce a "Zero
Accident" culture. Co ordinating the Safety Committee. Leading regular employee safety
meetings. Participating in continuous improvement efforts. Communicating the site
emergency response information to all employees. Accountable for MSDS’s and safety

 Training
Conducting safety and hazardous materials training for all employees, utilizing web based
