Statement of Problem
This study will be designed to analyze the impact of inculcating
community service activities in the curriculum of secondary level
students.
Independent Variables: Community Service
Dependent Variables: Student Behaviors
Variables
Significance of the Study
The significance of this study will allow us to develop an understanding
of the benefits on the psychological, social and cognitive
development/behavior of secondary level students.
The study will provide useful information on how students develop a
richer perspective of the world students live in, connect what they learn
in school to the real world and get an advantage in the college
admission process.
Objective of the Study
To determine the effects of community service cognitive
development/behaviors of students.
To determine the effects of community service on psychological
development/behaviors of students.
To determine the effects of community service on social
development/behaviors of students.
Research Questions
What effects do community service programs have on student
volunteers’ cognitive development/behavior?
What effects do community service programs have on student
volunteers’ psychological development/behavior?
What effects do community service programs have on student
volunteers’ social development/behavior?

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Design
The nature of the study will be descriptive because it is going to discuss the
effects students feel, community service has had on their development.
Population
Secondary students of all the schools of Islamabad will be the targeted
population of the study.
Sample technique
Random sample technique will be used as sample technique.
CONT.....
Sample size
25 students of grade 9 and 25 students of grade 10 will be selected as a
sample for experiment.
Research instruments
Two self-generated instruments, one interview and one questionnaire
will be used for this experimental study.
Delimitations:
The study will be delimited to secondary schools of Islamabad only.

  • 1. IMPACT OF COMMUNITY SERIVCE ON THE DEVELOPMENT/BEHAVIOUR OF SECONDARY LEVEL STUDENTS PRESENTED TO: DR. QURAT UL AIN HINA. PRESENTED BY: SYED ALI ROSHAN ROLL#11053
  • 2. Statement of Problem This study will be designed to analyze the impact of inculcating community service activities in the curriculum of secondary level students. Independent Variables: Community Service Dependent Variables: Student Behaviors Variables
  • 3. Significance of the Study The significance of this study will allow us to develop an understanding of the benefits on the psychological, social and cognitive development/behavior of secondary level students. The study will provide useful information on how students develop a richer perspective of the world students live in, connect what they learn in school to the real world and get an advantage in the college admission process.
  • 4. Objective of the Study To determine the effects of community service cognitive development/behaviors of students. To determine the effects of community service on psychological development/behaviors of students. To determine the effects of community service on social development/behaviors of students.
  • 5. Research Questions What effects do community service programs have on student volunteers’ cognitive development/behavior? What effects do community service programs have on student volunteers’ psychological development/behavior? What effects do community service programs have on student volunteers’ social development/behavior?
  • 6. Research Hypothesis THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK Selected values of Character education for this study will be: •Patience •Modesty •Self-actualization •Study Contemplation •Communication The moral values given by “Character education foundation” (2016) will be taken as theoretical guideline. These 25 values are: Values •Truth •Honesty •Patience •Justice •Modesty Self •Self realization •Self accountability •Self confidence •Self sustaining •Self actualization Habits •Cleanliness •Hard work •Time management •Study Contemplation Skills •Communication •Research •Decision making •Planning •Organization
  • 7. RESEARCH METHODOLOGY Design The nature of the study will be descriptive because it is going to discuss the effects students feel, community service has had on their development. Population Secondary students of all the schools of Islamabad will be the targeted population of the study. Sample technique Random sample technique will be used as sample technique.
  • 8. CONT..... Sample size 25 students of grade 9 and 25 students of grade 10 will be selected as a sample for experiment. Research instruments Two self-generated instruments, one interview and one questionnaire will be used for this experimental study. Delimitations: The study will be delimited to secondary schools of Islamabad only.
