The King 'Great Goodness' Part 1 Mahasilava Jataka (Eng. & Chi.).pptx
Maha shivratri 2021 Swamiji's Speech Summary
1. My salutation to all pure souls
Today on the occasion of Mahashivratri, we are collected in a large number. This Anushtan is
special because it is for the consecration of mangal murti in Bangalore South India
Today’s celebration is a celebration of souls, and we have to be at the soul level to be a part of
it. We have to analyze our progress in meditation. There are different kinds of people, some
people think meditation is not for normal people, others try to meditate but are unable to get
into a meditative state so they quit. Remember it's a constant practice, does not happen right
away. We have to empty ourselves, and then the mediation happens. Just be regular with it and
one day without realizing you will go into meditation. You might think some people get into
mediation easily, but it took them many unsuccessful attempts to reach where they are today.
Don't expect that you will go into meditation right away. Some people meditate, but only when
they have a problem. You must never meditate with a purpose. They quit once the problem is
resolved because then meditation loses its purpose for them. The fourth calegory are the people
who meditate because they like to meditate, as a hobby. These kinds of people have reached a
very good state in this anushtan as this anushtan was special. Everyone was connected with a
subtle body for the past year. So they attained Karma-free state, state of moksha. A lot of
sadhaks have reached this state.
I get a chance to see everyone very closely during Gahan Dhyaan Anushtan. Many people
wonder why they are not in a good state like me? Why don't they have a good aura like me? I
got an answer to that question. Unlike you, I am able to go inward. My search for God is over
but not yours. You have not achieved complete satisfaction. I have gained everything in life.
After you attain God, you get complete satisfaction, and you go inwards. God is inside you not
outside. We always say Guru Mantra
Gurur Brahma Gurur Vishnu
Gurur Devo Maheshwara
Guru Saakshaata Parabrahma
Tasmai Shri Guruve Namah
We call a guru who has a physical body but we call him God. That sounds like such a
contradiction. Why do we call Guru our God, I learnt that through Shiv baba. Brahma, because
to grow our soul he provides environment, to progress in meditation, and Mahesh because he
burns our past karma. The chaitanya that flows through him is God. Don't go on his physical
form. In Himalaya, I met with many gurus. But my attention was riveted on their holy feet and
nothing beyond. I never saw a Guru at the physical level, instead focused on the energy that
flows only when we are thirsty, his physical form does not matter. If our attention is on the inner
Chaitanya, then our attention will not go on his physical form.
The sun treats everyone equally, it gives light to everyone who is open to receive it. How many
of us thank the Sun? Guru also gives energy to everyone. Have you recognized what you have
received? You have to believe in that. We get self realization through Guru. We have
experienced God inside us. This faith happens because of GuruDeekhsa(initiation by the guru).
2. During Pooja, we worship betel nuts as Ganesh ji. Assuming something different than what is
visible is the beginning of our spirituality. A Guru is like a normal human being. But you see God
in him, you see what the eyes cannot see. To believe in what you don't see is the beginning of
spirituality.
In Wales, I conducted a workshop for reporters. Someone asked, I really liked the workshop and
now I want to spread this technique to my other reporter friends but I am unsure about how to
describe it to them. You and I look alike, so how do I tell them that you are different? There was
a mountain behind where I was sitting, I pointed that to her and said that everyone wants to
reach the peak of that mountain. But one person after sixty years of practice was able to reach
the peak of that mountain. He didn't remain there. Instead, realizing that many people may want
to go there as well, slowly he came down removing all the obstacles and made a portal. He
showed the path to everyone who wished to go to the peak. And millions have reached the peak
after following that path. True, your body and my body look the same. But my body is connected
with millions of souls. That is the difference between guru and disciple
There are 3 kinds of people. Some are always looking for instant gratification ‘bhogi’, which is
never ending. Then there are people who are physically or mentatlly sick or ‘rogi’. There is a
difference in being mentally ill vs physically sick. Mental sickness is unrecognizable, it has
increased a lot in the past year. Even family members don't take it seriously. Pay attention to
your family members before it reaches extreme. The third kind of people are who we call ‘yogi’,
their whole life is connected with God. No matter what happens they accept every outcome,
positive or negative, as a grace of God.
Today’s program is being watched by millions of people, many of whom are watching it for the
first time. Let me tell you , what is Samarpan Dhyan Sanskar?
Universal consciousness is Parmtatma. Parmatma is formless unlike God. You can sense it but
not see it. You can only feel it. It is inside us. Until we don’t go inward, we cannot feel it.
There is only one religion in Samarpan, it is Humanity. For the last 800 years, saints in the
Himalayas have felt that methods of worshipping have been used as a way to awaken humanity.
However, they are based on preaching and karma bound. They make us focus on the outside,
which cannot lead us to moksha. Methods of worship were to civilize humans and to awaken
humanity by doing good deeds. But they don’t lead to a karma free state. Dhyaan yog is the
only way to reach karma free state. With it your physical sense diminishes completely, and no
bad deeds remain. You only do good things and not get attached to them either. That is why in
any of our ashram we never put the name of the donor. In the Himalayas there is a sanskar
which reaches a normal human being. This is not a method, it's a sanskar. There are no rules in
this method. Your soul will become your Guru.
Third is medium. Guru, satguru, and medium
Guru gives knowledge through physical form.
Satguru who gets knowledge but is not authorised to share it.
Medium is like an empty pipe who can help you go inward.
3. Meditation happens automatically. You don’t have to ‘try’ to do it
Samarpan dhyaan has spread to more than 100 countries based on the simple mantra ‘I am a
holy soul, I am a pure soul’. It's a simple mantra, but I have put 60 years of practice behind it.
And it carries the collectivity of millions. Mediate for 30 mins every morning and you will see the
changes. Just sit for 30 mins. It will be hard physically, because of too many thoughts,
resistance from the brain all will interfere, but do not quit.
Now we will mediate.
All problems are related to our physical body, as we meditate our physical sense decreases and
the soul sense increases. As an example, if we put a drop of black ink in a cup of water, it will
turn black, however if we put that drop in the river, it will lose itself completely. In the same way
with meditation we connect with millions of souls so our problems vanish in the collectivity of all
the other souls. So meditate everyday for 30 mins for 45 days, you will see the change. Millions
are feeling, they have had great experiences .
Gurus shaktis have announced this year as ‘Children's year’, we need to raise awareness in
kids to make them understand that God is inside us, this knowledge will pass through you to
others and you will be freed from it. Moksha is a karam free state, if we have experiences
(anubutis), we need to be free from them also. Any soul knowledge that you have gained, you
need to distribute to others and with that you will free yourself.
Our changes in daily routine also make a difference to our spiritual growth. To love everyone
equally is a quality of the soul. Don't show love, feel it. Don't pay attention to what others think.
What you think is the only thing that will affect you. Do such deeds that have no purpose other
than to make your soul feel good. Pray once in a day without any selfish reasons. Donate only
to make your soul happy. Bring it in your daily behavior, it will make your soul happy.
People ask me how we grew so much in 25 years and in so many countries. I told them that
whatever I did was selflessly. Don't carry any expectations. Soul doesn't have any
expectionation. Meditate without expectation, just make time to meditate without any
expectation. Little things like these will make the soul strong. You all have progressed spiritually
and I have felt good.
We just celebrated women's day. In our society they are not given an equal place. There is a
misconception that women can not progress spiritually like a man. I was sent to prove that
wrong. Women have a very important role in Samarpan dhyan and so much work continues to
happen by them. Guruma’s role was very important in this Gahan dhyaan anushan. I am
grateful for that. Inside the hut everything was uncertain, she cooked, and did all the chores
regularly even though my routine was never set.
Lots of blessings to you on Mahashivratri
Here are a few questions that came in.
4. Q What is the best GuruKarya?
A: What is gurukraya? first understand that. In reality, we do all the work at physical level, with a
purpose. But Gurukarya is beyond physical as it pleases our soul. What you do is not important.
To give your best at what you do is the best Gurukarya. If you are able to do your best in your
life you will always do your best no matter what you do with full energy, in thoughtless state.
What you do is not important, do whatever makes your soul happy
Q: Can we attain moksha by distributing soul’s knowledge(atma gyan), when will we feel
content?
In reality Satisfaction, or dissatisfaction are at a physical level, Soul’s knowledge distributes
automatically. Don't have a doership, it's all natural at soul level to make the soul happy.
