1. Education
In 2016, the Foundation funded more
than $122,000 in scholarship awards to
39 students to further our commitment
to education. We are proud to say that
several of our students have successfully
transferred from community college to 4-
year schools. We support students
attending: Community College of Denver,
University of Colorado Denver, Metro
State, Colorado School of Mines,
University of Northern Colorado, San
Diego State University and San Diego
Mesa College.
We support low-income children in grades
K-12 through our partnership with ACE
Scholarships. In 2016, we made a 10-
year pledge to support 5 students through
“I Have a Dream” of Boulder County. Our
investment helps low-income youth
achieve a brighter future through their
proven long-term program. They provide
children the opportunity to break the cycle
of poverty though education, school
support, summer programs, mentoring
and tuition towards college.
“The Paige Foundation has been the real
MVP for my education journey and life
opportunity” – Nizeimana, college
scholarship recipient

Foundation, LITERALLY means the
difference between whether or not I get to
finish my degree.” – Ronald, college
scholarship recipient
“The Paige Foundation makes
education a reality where it would
not have been possible before.”
- Sunny Justice, Executive Director
The Paige Foundation supports three
main areas of philanthropy:
Education
Services for the Elderly
Animal Welfare
The support we provide changes lives!
The Herbert and Judy Paige Family
Foundation helps low-income students
gain access to a high-quality education,
provides food, love and shelter for animals
and offers low-income seniors excellent
healthcare, companionship, transportation
and nutritious meals.
2. Senior Citizens
In 2016, the Foundation donated
$75,000 to support our mission for
senior citizens. We partnered with Rose
Community Foundation for a one-time
investment in kitchen equipment to
strengthen the serving capacity of four
non-profit organizations including,
Longmont Meals on Wheels, Project
Angel Heart, TLC Meals on Wheels and
Volunteers of America. One in seven
senior citizens has food insecurity and this
number is expected to increase
significantly. Our single investment
increased the outreach of four different
home meal providers who work to meet
the growing needs of low-income seniors.
In-home meal delivery programs provide
social interaction for isolated seniors.
Meal delivery programs are vital to ensure
seniors receive adequate and proper
nutrition helping them stay healthy, live
with dignity and remain in their homes.
The Paige Foundation facilitated a $1.5
million dollar loan to TRU Community
Care-Hospice of Boulder County to
establish a new P.A.C.E. program.
P.A.C.E. is a “Program of All Inclusive
Care to the Elderly.” This visionary and
pioneering program creates an
environment to serve virtually all social,
medical, emotional, and psychological
needs of the Medicare and Medicaid
qualified indigent population, with
unparalleled quality of centrally managed
care. This comprehensive elderly care
model allows participating seniors to
remain living in their own homes longer,
as a result of the P.A.C.E. program.
This year, the Foundation reinforced our
support of TRU Community Care with a
one-time capital campaign donation of
$40,000! TRU Community Care was
founded in 1976, as a Colorado-licensed,
Medicare and Medicaid-certified, non-
profit healthcare organization serving
Boulder, Broomfield, Adams, Jefferson,
Weld counties, and beyond. For over
three decades, TRU has touched
thousands of lives with specialized end-of-
life, support and bereavement services.
The Foundation is excited to support
TRU’s expansion of services and offerings
to the disadvantaged senior population.
“It is so wonderful to know I’ll get
nutritious, good meals. When you’re alone
it is so nice to know that [meals on wheels
volunteers] are coming and someone will
be looking out for me. Thank you so much
for all you do for me.” – Kitty, client of
Volunteers of America Meals on Wheels
Animal Welfare
“I love Dixie tremendously. She makes it
worth getting up and starting a new day.
PAWS is a gift and I'm very grateful.” -
Sylvia, San Diego Humane Society PAWS client
In 2016, the Foundation donated
$10,000 to support our animal welfare
mission. In an effort to merge our senior
citizen and animal missions we made a
donation to the San Diego Humane
Society in support of their PAWS program.
PAWS was established to keep pets at
home with low-income seniors, and to
assist in-home delivery of essential
services to home-bound seniors. PAWS
bridges the gap between human services
and animal welfare by keeping pets in
loving homes with their owners. Herb and
Judy knew that animals enrich and
enhance our lives. They adopted pets
from the San Diego Humane Society. We
are proud to continue supporting animals
and seniors in need. The San Diego
Humane Society has dedicated a plaque
to memorialize the generous contributions
and efforts of Herbert and Judy Paige.
