Purchase-to-Pay Global Process Owner (P2P GPO)

There are often inefficiencies and overlap in both application configuration and processes which may impact P2P ability to operate optimally and be a driver of continuous improvements within finance. Also because of their spread over different geographies, the efficient application of P2P processes, the management of the data and configuration processes tend to be inconsistent. In 2010 Dolby decided to implement SAP as the ERP system for their EMEA office. As well as managing
the AP team, my role was to lead the setup of the SAP tool for Accounts Payable and liaise with the SAP
technical team to configure and customise the modules required for Accounts Payable.
GENERAL SUMMARY OF MY SKILLS
Finance Transformation(S2P): Although I am an all-round Project Manager, I am especially passionate
about S2P, P2P and AP. I have managed Source to pay, Purchase to pay and Account Payable
transformation projects to empower users with the design and implementation of processes that were
“fit-for-purpose” stress-tested, scalable, audit-proof and clearly defined roles and responsibilities.
Leadership & Stability: Provides leadership, stability and structure to Accounts Payable teams in
transition due to transformation, restructuring, leadership change, outsourcing etc.….
Operations Excellence in Accounts Payable: Coaching, mentoring & training: I have provided training,
mentoring and restructuring-for-success services to operations team to drive up the services level of
Accounts Payable to the organisation and inject an operational excellence mindset better able to support
the organisation.
Change Management – Knowledge Management: To drive powerful and effective change through the
organisation I also have CM plans that involve and engage all stakeholders affected by changes to ensure
greater understanding, users participation and encourage an embrace of the changing landscape to foster
better cooperation and a more cohesive in-house approach
Knowledge Management: Knowledge management is also an overlooked area that I have used to great
effect in the past, to make sure users are aware of their roles and responsibilities, it is worth identify users
group and provide the means to access the QRG (Quick References Guides) of their respective sub-
activities as well as a support path when and if required, identify, incentivise and motivate key users
within the organisation to support and onboard users among other techniques
Standard Operating Manuals & Quick References Guides (QRG): In addition to an excellent change
management process, the easy availability of a well written and user-friendly documentation is crucial. I
also design and provide documented and easy to follow operations manuals as well as QRG (Quick
Reference Guides).
Communication & queries handling: Build communication lines and clear-cut support path to allow for
issues to be raised timely, in the right manner and with the right team and avoid wildfire escalations and
business disruptions.
Lean Six Sigma Practitioner: I am user of lean six sigma methodologies to drive improvements through
efficiency and effectiveness
