Thoughts such as, what does attentiveness mean, what it is all about and what its different facets are, may enable the facilitator understand it better. Some such thoughts about attentiveness are given below.) 1. Attentiveness is a state of mind wherein the intellect is alert, active and focussed on the present. 2. It is manifested through concentration on the situation / activity, careful observation and keen listening. 3. It is also giving watchful attention to details. INTENT (The objective of the facilitation process is to help each participant explore the topic for himself, individually and independently. Following are some of the objectives of the session.) 1. To understand what is attentiveness 2. To analyse whether attentiveness is important in one’s life 3. To analyse whether attentiveness plays a role in achieving our goal 4. To analyse whether attentiveness impacts people, situation 5. To analyse whether attentiveness impacts outcome QUESTIONS (These are some leading questions that the facilitator may contemplate on for understanding and connecting with the topic.) 1. What is attentiveness? 2. Is attentiveness important in one’s life? If so, why? 3. Does attentiveness play a role in achieving our goal? If yes, how? 4. Does attentiveness impact people, situation? If yes, how? 5. Does attentiveness impact outcome? If yes, how?

Thoughts such as, what does an assumption mean, what it is all about and what its different facets are, may enable the facilitator understand it better. Some such thoughts about assumptions are given below.) 1. Assumption is presuming things that are not clearly known. 2. It is coming to a conclusion without knowing all the facts. 3. They may be based on past experiences but need not be true always. 4. It is something taken for granted or concluded in haste without sufficient validation. INTENT (The objective of the facilitation process is to help each participant explore the topic for himself, individually and independently. Following are some of the objectives of the session.) 1. To understand what is assumption. 2. To analyse whether assumptions are always factual or not. 3. To find out whether there is a basis for an assumption. 4. To understand the impact of assumptions on people, things and situations, if any. 5. To explore what happens when one assumes things and it turns out to be factually incorrect. 6. To explore what happens when one assumes things and it turns out to be factual. 7. To analyse whether one needs to assume. QUESTIONS (These are some leading questions that the facilitator may contemplate on for understanding and connecting with the topic.) 1. What is an assumption? 2. Are rational assumption and assumption based on hear-say or rumours different? If yes, how? 3. Does assumption have an effect on people and on relationships? How? 4. Can assumptions be used in positive ways? How? 5. What happens when one assumes things and it turns out to be factually incorrect? 6. What happens when one assumes things and it turns out to be factual

MANO, the management and orchestration layer in NFV, is a critical element for the success of NFV deployments. This talk will focus on three important aspects for effectively implementing MANO in an open source manner, to enable the easy migration and management of networks in any cloud: - Open source, community-based orchestration such as Open-O and ARIA - Open architecture using technology agnostic principles - Open standards for modeling and orchestration (such as TOSCA) In this talk, I will explain how to use open source tools to migrate networks to the cloud and demo NFV orchestration with TOSCA in a multi-VIM environment.
