2. Growing Wheatgrass At Home
This “How To” presentation will provide simple instructions detailing
how one can successfully grow wheatgrass from seeds in their home.
Did you know that wheatgrass contains chlorophyll, amino acids,
minerals, vitamins, and enzymes all of provide curative properties that
benefit our bodies for optimum health? Here’s how to do it in a few easy
steps.

• Wheatgrass Seeds
• Soil
• Mason Jar
• Mason Jar Lid With Holes
• Planting Trays
• Spray Bottle
• Water
• Sink
• 1/3 Measuring Cup

4. Step 1: Measure Your Seeds
First measure out the amount of
wheat berry seeds appropriate for
the size of your planting tray.

5. Step 2: Soak Your Seeds
Next, soak your seeds in a mason
jar for 8-12 hours. Mix 2-3 parts
water to 1 part seed.
Note: The seeds absorb a lot of
water while they soak so more
water is better than not enough.

6. Step 3: Rinsing and Draining Your Seeds
Time to rinse and drain your seeds. Using cool water, thoroughly rinse your seeds and set the
jar upside down in the sink to drain. Repeat this step every 8 hours, for 2 days.
*When you see small roots emerge your seeds are ready for planting.

7. Step 4: Preparing Planting Tray
Take your planting tray and put an
even layer of soil in the bottom. Be
sure that the soil is thoroughly
moistened. Mix with your fingers
to be sure the bottom layer of soil
is moist, if not add more water.

8. Step 5: Planting Your Seeds
Take your wheatgrass seeds and
spread them evenly over the
moistened soil making sure that
all areas are covered. Now cover
the planting tray with the inverted
tray to keep out light and
moisture.

9. Step 6: Watering Your Seeds
Water your seeds daily with a
light misting from a spray bottle.

10. Step 7: Greening your Wheatgrass
Uncover your grass when it starts
to push the tray up (between days
3-5). At this time move the grass
into sunlight and up the amount
of watering!

11. Step 8: Harvesting
To harvest, cut the wheatgrass
above the soil and throw it the
juicer to enjoy freshly extracted
wheatgrass juice and reap the
amazing benefits!
