Editor's Notes
Hello everyone “Share or Die”- how desparate we are, for openness
I am afraid that I have only 3 minutes to show too many projects package from CC Korea on Open access, education and open data.
First of all, open access in Korea. On 2011, we mad MOU with national library of Korea to build up open access Korea portal. which's called 'OAK portal'.
OAK is linked with national libary's web repository and national research archive, therefore, fortunately, we did not need to find our own storage for such big data base. (pass and back prior)
This is the main menu of OAK portal and it provide recently uploaded hot open access articule, and popular, and index to find more.
And here we have domestic repository clouds, with hyper links. now more and more universities are accepting OA policy for their own funding projects.
OAK portal provides informative guideline for licenses for OA ; since Korean governement keeps very strict copyright infringement or intellectual property stalling, we have to make sure it is safe and totally legal to existing scholars and students not to hesitate.
Also OAK portal provides advanced search service- the upper options are major open access journal providing institutions and repostitories.
And you can also choose which format you want to find- thesis, dissertation, data set, report, or xml, or author’s name and keywords
Now we are in OER in Korea; as an education researcher, I am worried about primary and secondary, I mean K-12 education are comparatively isolated from the table. However, it is even more important sector in education just as higher education. Last year, we had CC Salon event and we gave podium to primary kids and teachers in the job for introducing their own OER projects; open math tutoring for student in lower achivement, sharing little girls’ school assignment know-how. It was very insightful and magnificently visionary for OER.
For higher education, SNOW is the most outstanding localization and curation platform for overcoming language barrier for Korean students and faculties.

This is ‘안심병원’ project, safe hospital around me application, which is one of the remarkable outcome from the Codenamu hackathon. Using this application, you can find out which hospital abuse antibiotics around your house and reaching their prescription credibility- it is also made from open data from ministry of health.
code for Seoul is civic hacking project in local version in Korea ; for transparency of Seoul metropolitan city government on their financial planning and budget expenditure.
well, thank you and I love to explain more of our full of wonders from commons project experiences.
