• An insurance policy/plan is an contact between an
individual (Policyholder) and an insurance company
(Provider).
• Under the contract, you pay regular amounts of money (as
premiums) to the insurer, and they pay you if the sum
assured on unfortunate event arises.
• For example, untimely demise of the life insured, an
accident, or damage to a house.
WHAT IS AN INSURANCE ?
COMPONENTS OF INSURANCE
• Insurance Premium Policy: The premium of an insurance policy is the
amount that you need to pay to purchase a specific amount of
insurance cover. It is typically expressed as a regular cost, be it
monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, or annually, that you incur during the
premium payment term.
• Policy Limit: It is defined as the maximum amount that an insurance
company is liable to pay for the losses covered under the insurance
policy. It is determined based on the period (policy term), loss or injury,
and similar other factors.
• Deductible: Deductible related to an insurance policy is the amount or
percentage that the policyholder agrees to pay out of pocket before the
insurer sets in to settle a claim.
TYPES OF INSURANCE AVAILABLE IN INDIA :
GENERAL INSURANCE
Following are some of the types of general insurance
available in India:
1. Health Insurance
2. Motor Insurance
3. Home Insurance
4. Fire Insurance
5. Travel Insurance
LIFE INSURANCE
Following are some of the types of Life insurance
available in India:
1. Term Life Insurance
2. Whole Life Insurance
3. Endowment Plans
4. Unit-Linked Insurance Plans
5. Child Plans
6. Pension Plans
• Health insurances are types of insurance policy that covers the
expenses incurred due to medical care. Health insurance plans
either pay or reimburse the amount paid towards the treatment
of any illness or injury. Different types of insurance policy cover
varied medical care expenses.

involved in an accident. Various types of Motor
insurance policies in India include:
1. Car Insurance: Individually owned four-wheelers
are covered under this plan. The car insurance
types include- third-party insurance and
comprehensive cover policies.
2. Bike Insurance: These are types of insurance
policy where individually owned two-wheelers are
covered against accidents
3. Commercial Vehicle Insurance: This is one of the
insurance types, which offers coverage to any
vehicle used for commercial purposes
HOME INSURANCE
Home insurance policy offers comprehensive protection coverage

the house against damage during any calamity
2. Public Liability Coverage : Provides coverage against any
damage to a guest or third-party on the insured residential
property
3. Standard Fire and Special Perils Policy : Coverage against
damages caused due to fire outbreaks, natural calamities
4. Personal Accident : Provides financial coverage to you and your
family against any kind of permanent dismemberment or
sudden demise to the insured individual, anywhere around the
world
5. Burglary and Theft Insurance : Provides compensation for

As the name suggests, travel insurance is a type of insurance

peaceful journey.
The travel insurance policy coverage takes care of any issues
that you may face during your trip such as loss of baggage,

emergencies.

SALE DEED :
• A sale deed is basically a legal document that enables the
owner or seller of the property to transfer the rights of the
property in the name of the buyer. Register the property at
the local sub-registrar office once the seller draws the sale
deed draft. In several cases, people often ask if it is
mandatory to get a sale deed registered. Yes, it is very critical
to get the sale deed registered. Until a sale deed is not
registered, the buyer can not become the rightful owner of the
property in the context of the law.
• Documents required at the time of creating the sale deed
draft include building plan, allotment letter by the builder,
recent tax receipts, recent utility bills (electricity), power of
attorney (if applicable), title documents, and in case of resale
of property all previously registered agreements.
