2. Early on in the music video for ‘Don’t Play’, we see a women tied up in the back of a car. This suggests the use of
imagery suggesting women are objects of the man. The fact she is wearing just a bra suggests the idea of her being
a sexual object of the man, and is in his possession to please him.

3. Soon after, we see the lead artist ‘Travi$ Scott’ with a big handful of money on a bed with a woman, who happens to
be laying seductively, linking to the previous slide. The money is connotation of American rappers, who love
showing off their money and women. The link to him holding money and his name, which includes a dollar sign
instead of an ‘S’ again links to rappers links with money. The video is illustrative, telling a story of how he got his
money (through drugs and strippers) and links with the lyrics.

4. This shot follows shortly after, of Travis and a female in a Smokey room. The smoke refers to the rapper connotation
to smoke, whilst the female again is appearing to be a sexual object of the man. The Video cuts shots with the snare
rolls in the beat. However it is not every snare roll, thus meaning it is more of an amplifying music video in this
respect.

5. Again a half naked lady, this time taking up the majority of the shot. The medium long shot is used to portray this
lady as the most important, as she is the one who Travis sees as the most important, his girlfriend supposedly. The
fact she is central and dominant whilst Travis is cut out shows that she is centre of attention. Linking to the lyrics
which say how she is looked at by all the other men, yet he isn’t ‘playing’ (Don’t Play) with them, basically
suggesting he hasn’t got time for other men after his girl.

6. Finally, we see a shot of the other artist, Big Sean, wearing a lot of jewellery or ‘Bling’. This again, like Travis and
money, is his link to his figure. He is known for wearing a lot of bling, like a lot of rappers are and is another way to
show off just how rich he is. He is central and has more gold on than the two men beside him, making his jewellery
shown off even more. Again, referring to the title of the track, Sean isn’t playing in the game of making money, and
him and his two friends are handed money/drugs in the small shot.
