2. WHAT IS PHOTOGRAPHY?
The word PHOTOGRAPHY comes from Greek words
Phos which means light
Graph which means draw
YssaBarbs alludes that photography is the practice of
capturing pictures using a camera. It goes further than
just capturing pictures, one can tell a story though
photographs.
3. PHOTOGRAPHY
According to Chandndefe photography is art, this means that
it does not necessarily matter how expensive ones
photography equipment is as long as they can use what they
have to be creative.
People take photographs for different purposes, but the goal
is to have beautiful fine looking pictures that will attract the
viewers attention. For example, if you are a photographer and
you want people to book you, your photographs should
convince the viewers to hire you.
The art of the photography starts from choosing the right
place to take photographs, this includes things such as the
background and lighting. It goes further to the choosing of
camera settings, positioning of objects to be shot, pausing
and photo editing. The compilation of these factors
contributes to the art of photography resulting in best
photographs.
4. CREATIVE PHOTOGRAPHY
CREATIVE PHOTOGRAPHY REFERS TO TAKING OF
EXTRAORDINARY IMAGE FROM ORDINARY PICTURES OR
SCENES.
NOT BEING AFRAID OF EXPLORING, CREATING IMAGES
THAT MAKE PEOPLE LOOK FOR A COUPLE OF SECONDS.
FOR EXAMPLE, LOOKING AT THE IMAGE BEFORE, ONE
CAN BE AMAZED BY THE AMOUNT OF CREATIVITY
BROUGHT TO IT. NOT EVERYONE EVER THINKS OF
PORTRAYING HUMAN PICTURES OUT OF MATCHSTICKS ,
THIS IS CREATIVE PHOTOGRAPHY.
5. PHOTOGRAPHY PROPERTIES
There are certain things that photographers have to know in order to produce
good images, such as ISO, shutter speed and Aperture.
ISO has to do with the details of the picture, very high ISO produces brighter
images but its drawback is that it causes images to have some grains.
It is advisable to use high ISO for far scenes and low ISO for close up images to
get finer results in photography.
The shutter speed is also an important property in photography, it refers to the
length of time the camera shutter is open, exposing light onto the camera
sensor. Higher shutter speed is good for moving objects in avoidance of image
blur.
Lastly, aperture is also a very important property, it is the opening in a lens
through which light passes to enter the camera. This is useful when you want
to make blur or clear background of an image.
6. TYPES OF
PHOTOGRAPHY
There are many different types of photography, let us look at few such as Portrait,
Nature and Fashion photography.
Portrait photography captures the likeness and expression of a subject. This could
be used in photography studio scenes where there are lights and backdrops to
capture the personality of a person.
Nature photography displays natural elements such as landscapes, wild life, and
close sups of natural elements. Nature is so beautiful and it is one of the most
interesting way of exploring in photography especially for touring photographers.
Lastly, fashion photography is also one of the most common one useful for
models and beauty contests. It is devoted to the displaying of clothes and other
fashion items.
7. CAMERAS
Cameras are the root of photography, to produce any types
of photograph one needs to have a camera. These cameras
come in different types and they serve different purposes.
It is a duty of a photographer to select the most appropriate
camera for the type of photograph they want to portray.
In choosing the camera one needs to focus on the camera
description rather than its price. Since buying an camera
does not mean it one will take good pictures, sometimes a
camera might be expensive because it has most technology
such as Bluetooth, long lasting battery, water resistance and
so on. Those things do not contribute to the quality of a
picture.
8. Compact digital cameras- these are small and less expensive cameras most
porpularly used by armature photographers. This is due to a fact that they
are fully automatic and easy to use, however, they do not provide the
as other types of cameras.
Digital single range reflex- also referred to as SLR and DSLR cameras. These
are manual cameras allowing a user to select the settings of their
they also have an allowance of interchanging camera lenses.
Mirrorless cameras- known as electronic viewfinderinterchangeable lenses,
these are the most recent and durable cameras that offer a wild range of
settings and adjustments for beautiful image outcomes with high quality.

10. CONCLUSION
Photography is one of the most interesting things
to explore as a human. It can help one spend more
time learning new things and travelling the world.
I personally love spending more time taking
photographs and I have realised that it is so
beautiful to play around with ideas you might have
towards changing a n image. This can be done by
adjusting settings and editing pictures using
different editing software's such as lightroom and
photoshop.
Taking pictures with nowadays smartphones feels
like using an actual camera due to the modification
made which allow the user to adjust setting for
taking good pictures.
