2. Use contrast to help your designs stand out

3. DO take time to choose your color scheme

4. Choose your font palette

5. DON’T use too many different fonts on one page

6. DON'T use comic sans or crazy fonts that end up being
hard to read

7. DO look around and see what’s out there in the design
world

8. Never Use Black

9. Always start your design project with a layout grid.
No exceptions.

10. DO make sure there is enough contrast between your
text and the background

11. DO establish a typographic hierarchy

12. DON’T make the text too small

13. Use a grid or frame where possible with images

14. The Rule of Thirds
Simply place your main subject where the lines intersect.

15. Keep it simple
