Can I change the week allocated to me or my campus?
No this is fixed as there are limited slots, we will not encourage any changes to planned
schedule
Session-1 Labs 2,5,6
Task 1.
Some Important Terms:
Vm machines (Virtual Machines): Virtual machines (VMs) are software-based simulations of
physical computers. They allow you to run multiple operating systems (OS) and applications on
a single physical server or host machine.
Path 2 Lab 1
Session-1 Labs 2,5,6
Task 2.
Some Important Terms:
NGINX : NGINX (pronounced "engine-X") is a popular open-source web server, reverse proxy
server, and load balancer known for its high performance, scalability, and versatility.
Features:
1. Web Server
2. Reverse Proxy
3. Load Balancer
4. Caching
Path 2 Lab 1
Session-1 Labs 2,5,6
Task 3.
Just Follow the steps given to complete the task.
Task 4.
Q. Through which of the following ways can you create a VM instance in Compute Engine?
1. The Cloud console
2. The gcloud command line tool
3. both
Path 2 Lab 1
Session-1 Labs 2,5,6
Task 1.
zonal resources: Resources that live in a zone are referred to as zonal resources.
Virtual machine instances and persistent disks live in a zone. If you want to attach a persistent
disk to a virtual machine instance, both resources must be in the same zone.
Similarly, if you want to assign a static IP address to an instance, the instance must be in the
same region as the static IP address.
Path 2 Lab 2
Session-1 Labs 2,5,6
Task 1.
Some Important commands:
gcloud -h: gcloud help box opens in order to guide
gcloud config --help: gcloud config help box opens in order to guide
gcloud config list: View the list of configurations in your environment
gcloud config list --all: To see all properties and their settings
gcloud components list: This will list the components
Path 2 Lab 2
Session-1 Labs 2,5,6
Task 6.
Three basic ways to interact with Google Cloud services and resources are:
1. GLib
2. Client libraries
3. GStreamer
4. Cloud Console
5. Command-line interface

Path 2 Lab 1
Session-1 Labs 2,5,6
What is GKE(Google Kubernetes Engine)?
Ans: GKE simplifies the deployment, management, and scaling of containerized
applications using Kubernetes.
What is a GKE Cluster?
Ans: A cluster consists of at least one cluster master machine and multiple worker
machines called nodes. Nodes are Compute Engine virtual machine (VM) instances
that run the Kubernetes processes necessary to make them part of the cluster.
Path 3 Lab 2
Session-1 Labs 2,5,6
What is network load balancer ?
Ans: NLB operates at the transport layer (Layer 4) of the OSI model, focusing on
routing traffic based on IP addresses and ports. It doesn't inspect or manipulate
the application layer data.NLB is designed for routing TCP and UDP traffic,
making it suitable for a wide range of non-HTTP protocols, including database
connections and custom application protocols.
What is a HTTP load balancer ?
Ans: HTTP Load Balancer operates at the application layer (Layer 7) of the OSI
model, making routing decisions based on HTTP/HTTPS request details, such as
URL paths and headers. This load balancer is specifically designed for handling
HTTP and HTTPS traffic, allowing it to perform content-based routing and distribute
requests to backend services based on application-specific criteria.
