If you’re
 Technically qualified ideally to Degree level
 Have carried out engineering projects based purchasing
 CIPS certified
 Experienced in working within a LEAN/Six Sigma environment

The Engineering Buyers Jobs will require you to
 Work closely during the New Product Introduction and New Product Design phases to
reduce product time to market
 Develop Value Analysis and Value Engineering cost models
 Support New Product Introduction teams on design issues and supplier selection
 Work with design teams to ensure the integrity and clarity of engineering drawing and
DFMEA experience
 Assess current supplier capability and suggest alternative sources of supply
 Support New Product Introduction project milestones
 Contribute to the development of a Supplier Selection Process
 Investigate, analyse and develop new suppliers - perform supplier risk analysis and audits

2.  Setup and verify sourcing rules, obtain supplier information as needed; develop total cost of
acquisition to achieve cost reduction/ optimisation through negotiation and process
improvements
 Prepare requests for materials, components and outside services
 Work with Engineering to qualify alternative sources; assist with strategic procurement
activities such as sourcing, selection, qualification, contract development, and sole source
risk mitigation
 Represent the Procurement Department on all New Product Introduction project teams
